The FBI cut off CAIR after agents confirmed its ties to Hamas – the same terrorist group that slaughtered 1,200 people on October 7, 2023.
Now that same organization is mobilizing 3 million more Muslim voters for the 2026 midterms.
And they just poured $175,000 into a Senate campaign run by a man who called confirmed reports of Hamas atrocities "propaganda."
CAIR Action Is Picking America's Next Senators
CAIR's political arm, CAIR Action, pumped $175,000 into a super PAC backing Abdul El-Sayed's Michigan Senate campaign.
El-Sayed is the candidate who dismissed confirmed reports that Hamas raped Israeli women and killed Israeli babies as "propaganda."
He spoke at six Democratic Socialists of America events between 2017 and 2020.
DSA organizers have called him "a longtime friend of Detroit DSA."
He denies being a socialist, but the entire Squad – AOC, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and the rest – has now endorsed him.
CAIR Action didn't stop at Michigan.
The group endorsed William Lawrence, a candidate with past DSA membership.
In Minnesota, they backed DSA member Omar Fateh in his bid to unseat Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey – and endorsed progressive Peggy Flanagan against Republican Michele Tafoya for US Senate.
Donovan McKinney, a DSA-endorsed candidate backed by CAIR Action, ousted incumbent House Democrat Shri Thanedar.
The pattern is clear: CAIR isn't picking Democrats – it's picking the most radical Democrats it can find.
The Machine Behind the Movement
CAIR launched its Muslims.Vote platform in July ahead of the 2026 primaries.
The initiative claims to be non-partisan.
It is not.

CAIR Action – the political arm that exists precisely because a "non-partisan" group can't endorse candidates – has already spent heavily across this election cycle.
There are an estimated 8 million Muslims in America, with more than 2.5 million registered to vote.
CAIR is targeting 12 swing states – Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Their own materials say the mobilization "is not symbolic – it is decisive."
Chip Roy Is Trying to Shut CAIR Down Before November
Rep. Chip Roy introduced the Designating Hamas Affiliates in America Act of 2026 in April – legislation that would strip CAIR of its tax-exempt status, block its assets, and effectively force it to dissolve.
Roy's bill documents what CAIR has spent decades fighting to keep quiet.
CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial – the largest terrorism financing prosecution in American history.
The FBI permanently suspended all outreach to CAIR after evidence confirmed its relationship with Hamas.
At least seven CAIR officials have been arrested, convicted, or deported on terrorism-related charges.
Last year, CAIR-Ohio's own executive director hosted an online panel featuring Majed al Zeer – a card-carrying Hamas member and specially designated national.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott designated CAIR a foreign terrorist organization in November 2025.
The Trump administration has targeted CAIR as part of its crackdown on what it calls "bogus charities" abusing the tax code for political gain – alongside the SPLC and Soros-linked funding networks.
And yet CAIR still has its 501(c)(3) status, still collects tax-free donations, and is still pouring that money into Senate races right now.

Tyler Bowyer, COO of Turning Point Action, put it plainly: "Our side isn't prepared for what CAIR is doing for the Democrats. Between this and illegals – they will overrun America for the 2028 election and then the census. Anyone fighting for Islam is aiding this. Better wake up now."
CAIR has been running voter mobilization operations since at least 2006 – and each cycle the operation gets larger, better funded, and more politically targeted.
In 2014, they called 145,000 households.
In 2022, they went after over a million registered Muslim voters.
In 2026, they are targeting 3 million more voters across the 12 states that decide congressional control.
This isn't a get-out-the-vote drive.
It's a ground game built over two decades – funded by an organization with confirmed Hamas connections – now aimed directly at flipping the House and Senate before 2028.
