Chuck Schumer spent five weeks blocking ICE funding – then called for it himself on live television.
Now American families are stranded in three-hour security lines while the man who caused it stumbles over his own words.
And what he blurted out on the Senate floor Saturday tells you everything about who actually broke this country's airports.
Schumer Blocks DHS Funding for 36 Days Then Accidentally Calls for ICE Money
Schumer was in the middle of his usual performance – blaming Republicans for the DHS shutdown wrecking spring break travel – when something happened.
"We must fund ICE," he said.
He caught himself and corrected it to "We must fund TSA now," but it was already on video and already going viral.
Trump posted the clip to Truth Social Sunday morning with five words that ended the debate: "Thank you Chuck, I agree!"

Here is what makes the moment so perfectly humiliating.
ICE doesn't need Schumer's funding.
Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill already locked in $75 billion for ICE last summer – money Schumer can't touch.
The agencies going without paychecks are TSA, the Coast Guard, and FEMA.
Those are the ones Democrats have been holding hostage.
So when Schumer accidentally said "fund ICE," he accidentally told the truth – Democrats are the ones who want to control ICE, and they've been willing to burn down airport security to do it.
TSA Spring Break Lines Hit 3 Hours as Democrats Keep the DHS Shutdown Going
While Schumer fumbles his talking points, here is what is happening to real Americans.
Over 400 TSA officers have resigned since the shutdown began February 14.
DHS reported callout rates spiking above 50% in Houston, above 30% in Atlanta and New Orleans.
Houston Hobby hit a 55% callout rate on a single day.
Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson was reporting 153-minute wait times Sunday morning.
Philadelphia closed three security checkpoints entirely because there was nobody left to staff them.
171 million passengers are expected to fly during spring break – a 4% record over last year.
Those passengers are arriving to a system that DHS says is now on its third round of TSA officers going without pay in six months.

Senate Majority Leader Thune said it plainly Sunday: "The best way to solve it is to get Democrats to support funding the entire Department of Homeland Security – not picking and choosing certain aspects of it."
Democrats' answer was to block a two-week extension anyway.
Schumer Knows He Is Losing This Fight
The gaffe isn't just funny.
It's a tell.
RedState's analysis nailed what is actually happening to Schumer right now – he's being squeezed from both sides simultaneously, and it's showing.
His own base thinks he's too weak and is already talking primary challenges.
But the only move that gets him back to the table with the left means blocking DHS funding while airports collapse around him.
Then Trump deployed ICE agents to the airports – making Schumer's entire hostage strategy worthless.
And now his own mouth betrayed him on the Senate floor.
Here is what Schumer's strategy actually produced.
He blocked ICE funding – and ICE is now staffing the airports.
He weaponized the TSA to pressure Republicans – and Trump deployed the agency Democrats hate most to fix the mess Democrats made.

He tried to use spring break travelers as hostages – and Elon Musk offered to personally cut the checks Schumer was withholding.
Every piece of leverage Schumer thought he had, Trump turned into an advertisement for exactly what Democrats were fighting against.
ICE in airports. ICE solving a crisis. ICE doing the job TSA can't.
That's not a political defeat. That's a brand transformation – and Schumer handed Trump the keys to pull it off.
Every passenger who missed a flight this spring break will remember who caused it.
Chuck Schumer told them himself.
