Kamala Harris spent two years as Joe Biden's AI czar and still walked away unable to explain what the letters stand for.
She just posted a lengthy AI policy statement.
The internet made Kamala Harris instantly regret demanding Donald Trump negotiate an AI treaty with China.
The Woman Who Explained AI as Two Letters Now Wants a China Treaty
Harris posted a statement Monday calling for Trump to pursue a treaty with "countries like China to stop dangerous uses of AI, limit the speed of its development, and adopt global standards for testing."
That's a lot of syllables from someone who, in 2023, explained artificial intelligence to the American public this way: "I think the first part of this issue that should be articulated is AI is kind of a fancy thing. First of all, it's two letters."
She wasn't done.
"And so, the machine is taught — and part of the issue here is what information is going into the machine that will then determine — and we can predict then, if we think about what information is going in, what then will be produced," she added.
This was America's AI czar.

National security expert Kyle Bass spotted it first: "There's not a chance in hell Kamala wrote this. Have you ever heard her say 'frontier,' 'advancing,' and 'intelligence' in the same sentence?"
Conservative influencer Western Lensman put the 2023 video next to the polished statement and wrote: "Kamala Harris on AI when it's not a written statement crafted by a team of consultants."
Multiple users flagged the post itself as AI-generated.
That's the situation: the former AI czar may have used AI to pretend she understands AI.
Voluntarily Handing China the Win
Here's what Harris is actually proposing: America voluntarily slows down the most consequential technology race in human history so we can negotiate with the country actively trying to beat us.
China doesn't slow down because we ask nicely.
China slows down when it loses.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rick Crawford said it directly – slowing down AI development is a national security risk, full stop.
Trump understood this before Harris posted a single word.
On Day One of his second term he scrapped Biden's AI safety order and signed an executive order demanding American dominance – declaring from the White House: "There's only going to be one winner here. It's probably going to be the US or China. And right now, we're winning by a lot."
He followed that up at a New Hampshire AI summit with four executive orders that cut Chinese entities off from American AI infrastructure and set a national framework for development.
Harris wants to negotiate that lead away.
She calls it "sensible guardrails."

Trump called it what it is: "WHOEVER WINS AI, WINS!"
Barack Obama is pushing the same surrender strategy – quietly urging House Democrats at a New York City fundraiser last week to make AI regulation "central" to their 2026 midterm message.
Pete Buttigieg went on NBC to demand "a kill switch for AI that goes out of control."
This is the Democratic AI agenda: slow it down, regulate it, and beg China to sign a piece of paper.
These are the same people who handed China 30 years of trade advantages – now they want to hand them the AI race by treaty.
Trump put it plainest: "The only control or 'guardrails' that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades!"
One side is winning.
The other side is still explaining that AI is two letters.
