Whoopi Goldberg is the longest running co-host of The View.
But now everyone is wondering how much longer Goldberg will be on set.
And Whoopi Goldberg revealed the one thing that would make her quit The View.
Whoopi Goldberg claims she would quit The View if money was no object
During a recent broadcast of The View, Goldberg claimed that as a star of TV, film, and stand-up comedy, she was down with the working-class struggle.
“I appreciate that people are having a hard time. Me too. I work for a living,” Goldberg stated.
Goldberg – who Parade.com lists as having a $60 million net worth and a reported $8 million a year salary from The View – claimed if she had generational wealth, she wouldn’t show up to host The View as she’s done since 2007.
“If I had all the money in the world, I would not be here, OK? So, I’m a working person, you know?” Goldberg declared.
Goldberg ranted that her kid needed to feed her family, so Goldberg had to keep working.
Goldberg also claimed it was shortsighted for voters to pick Trump because Kamala Harris’ inflation crisis crushed them since neurotic liberals think Donald Trump puts everyone supposedly in danger.
“My kid has to feed her family. My great-granddaughter has to be fed by her family. I know it’s hard out there,” Goldberg claimed. “I love what [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] did. Yay. We talk to people all the time who say, ‘This is what’s bothering me.’ But the thing that’s bothering everybody should not be the thing that puts 85% of other people in danger. I think that’s what we’re saying.”
Goldberg attacks grocery store owners
Goldberg’s comments grew out of a previous broadcast where Goldberg declared, “The folks that own the groceries are pigs,” and blamed them for the inflation that elected Donald Trump.
Goldberg falsely claimed Kamala Harris had nothing to do with the inflation crisis and incorrectly blamed it on greed from mom and pop grocery store owners.
“Your pocketbook is bad, not because the Bidens did anything. Not because the economy is bad. Your grocery bills are what they are because the folks that own the groceries are pigs,” Goldberg ranted.
The National Grocers Association represents 21,000 grocery store owners.
And the group released a letter blasting Goldberg for attacking small business owners who set their prices according to market forces – such as the inflation that Kamala Harris unleashed by casting the tie-breaking vote for trillions in new spending.
“We are deeply troubled by these remarks . . . referring to people who own grocery stores as ‘pigs,’” the letter read.
“Statements that falsely depict grocers as ‘gouging’ not only exacerbate these tensions but also risk further harm to these frontline workers who have continued to serve the public through challenging times,” the letter added.
