White Castle has been feeding America for more than a century.

The family-owned burger chain just broke a 104-year streak with one decision.

And White Castle made one announcement about Texas that has burger fans racing to their calendars.

White Castle breaks into the Lone Star State for the first time ever

After 104 years in business, White Castle is finally headed to Texas.

The Ohio-based burger chain announced plans to open its very first Texas location at the Grandscape development in The Colony, near Dallas.

This isn’t just another restaurant opening – it’s a historic moment for a company that’s been serving up sliders since 1921.

White Castle’s very own Town Crier made the announcement during a special event that brought together company leadership, local officials, and eager burger fans who’ve been waiting decades for this moment.

"White Castle has been creating memorable moments with our iconic hot and tasty Sliders for more than a century, and today, we are reaching a new milestone as we prepare to bring that Crave to Texas for the very first time," said Lisa Ingram, CEO of White Castle and fourth-generation member of the founding family.¹

The new location is scheduled to open in summer 2026 and will create between 80 to 100 jobs for local residents.

That’s 100 new paychecks in a state that knows how to put people to work.

This Texas location represents something bigger than burgers

Look at what White Castle is doing here – and it’s exactly what America needs more of.

This is a family-owned business that’s been around for 104 years, creating jobs and serving communities across the country.

No corporate boards answering to foreign investors, no woke policies dictated from Washington, D.C.

Just an American family business doing what American businesses do best – growing, hiring, and serving customers.

The Colony location will feature White Castle’s signature sliders prepared on steamed buns made in the company’s own bakeries.

That’s vertical integration and American manufacturing at work.

While other chains outsource everything to the cheapest bidder overseas, White Castle controls its own supply chain and keeps production domestic.

The company currently operates 335 restaurants nationwide, and they’re not just surviving – they’re expanding.

In an economy where so many businesses are struggling under the weight of inflation and government regulations, White Castle is adding locations and creating jobs.

That’s what happens when a company focuses on serving customers instead of chasing the latest corporate fad.

And here’s something worth noting – White Castle just earned Great Place to Work certification for the fifth consecutive year.

While other companies are dealing with employee revolts over political activism in the workplace, White Castle has figured out how to keep workers happy the old-fashioned way.

Good jobs, fair treatment, and a focus on the business instead of political grandstanding.

The timing couldn’t be better for Texas

Texas has become the promised land for businesses fleeing high-tax, over-regulated states.

From tech companies to manufacturers, everyone’s moving to the Lone Star State for the same reasons – lower taxes, fewer regulations, and a government that actually wants businesses to succeed.

Now White Castle is joining that migration, bringing their legendary sliders to a state that appreciates both good food and good business practices.

The Grandscape location in The Colony is positioned perfectly to serve the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex – one of the fastest-growing regions in the country.

These aren’t accident sites chosen by throwing darts at a map.

This is strategic expansion into a market that rewards businesses for doing business.

For burger fans in Texas who’ve been driving to neighboring states just to get their White Castle fix, summer 2026 can’t come fast enough.

After 104 years, White Castle is finally coming to Texas – and it’s about time.
