Fourteen American soldiers are dead and Cory Booker went on television to call the Commander-in-Chief an embarrassment.
That was Sunday morning on NBC's Meet the Press – and Booker had a question waiting for him.
He never answered it – and what he said instead tells you everything about where the Democrat Party stands right now.
What Booker Refused to Say on Live Television
Host Kristen Welker asked a simple yes or no: would Booker support a short-term deal with Iran to stop the fighting while the nuclear program gets sorted out later?
Booker didn't answer it.
Instead he called Trump "an embarrassment on the world stage," claimed he "hears from allies all around the world" who agree with him, and declared America is locked in a stalemate with no way out.
He said hundreds of American military personnel are injured.
He said billions of dollars in price spikes are hitting American families.
He said the conflict is a massive disaster.

And then – this is the part that should make your blood boil – he used every one of those facts as ammunition against Trump, not against Iran.
A U.S. Senator was handed a live microphone, asked if he supported ending a war that's killing Americans, and he turned it into a campaign commercial.
The $150 Billion Question Booker Won't Touch
Booker told the Meet the Press audience that Trump "has got us into a trap."
What he didn't mention is who built the trap.
Iran's ballistic missile program – the one now killing American soldiers – was funded and emboldened during the years Democrats were cutting deals with the mullahs and calling it diplomacy.
The Obama-era nuclear agreement provided Tehran roughly $150 billion in unfrozen assets and sanctions relief while blocking inspectors from key military sites.
Democrats spent years opposing the maximum pressure campaign that had Iran's economy on its knees.
They pushed to re-enter negotiations with a regime that chants "Death to America" in their parliament.

Now Iran has advanced its nuclear program, killed 14 Americans, injured hundreds more, and spiked energy prices on the very families Booker claims to care about.
And Cory Booker went on national television and called Trump the embarrassment.
The people who opposed the pressure campaign are on TV attacking the man dealing with the consequences.
This Is What Democrats Always Do
This is exactly what Democrats did in Iraq, in Afghanistan, and in every military engagement where a Republican sat in the White House.
They wait for American casualties.
Then they sprint to the nearest camera.
Then they weaponize the deaths of American soldiers against the president – while offering zero alternative strategy, zero plan, zero path forward.

Booker was asked directly if he supported a deal to end the hostilities.
He dodged it completely.
Because Democrats don't want solutions right now.
They want footage.
They want clips like Sunday's – a U.S. Senator calling his own Commander-in-Chief "an embarrassment" while American military families are grieving – because they think it plays well in the 2026 midterms.
The families of those 14 dead soldiers deserve a senator who shows up to Meet the Press with a plan, not a punchline.
