Donald Trump is returning to the White House with a plan to secure the border.
He’s not worried about playing nice for the media.
And Trump’s “Border Czar” smacked down a clueless CNN host with one brutal fact.
CNN host tries to play gotcha with Donald Trump’s “Border Czar” over deportations
President-elect Donald Trump nominated former acting Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Tom Homan to be the point man on the mass deportation of illegal aliens as his “Border Czar.”
Homan has been making the rounds in the media to explain the incoming Trump’s administration plan to deport illegal aliens.
The no-nonsense “Border Czar” made an appearance on CNN, which offered a preview of the type of pushback he’ll receive when he officially takes office next year.
CNN host Kaitlan Collins brought up “concentration camps” in reference to detention facilities to hold illegal aliens before they’re deported.
“I do have a question on what this looks like,” Collins said. “Because one thing I’ve heard you say repeatedly is mass deportations doesn’t mean tanks going down streets or huge sweeping raids, I think, of what a lot of people might have in mind. You said, the idea of building concentration camps is, quote, ‘Ridiculous.’”
Like the kids in cages hoax for Trump’s first term, the media is trying to gin up fear over mass deportations by making it seem like some Soviet-style crackdown.
Collins noted that Homan would work with incoming White House official Stephen Miller on mass deportations.
“On this, and what this looks like when it’s carried out, do you have any red lines of where you do not want to go, to carry out the pledge to deport mass amounts of people?” Collins asked.
Tom Homan gives CNN host a reality check
Homan told her that he was going to work with Miller – who the media is trying to turn into a bogeyman – on mass deportations.
“Yes, we’re going to build detention facilities. Because, again, this is a massive deportation operation,” Homan said.
The incoming “Border Czar” ripped impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for abusing the asylum system to flood the country with illegal aliens.
“Let me explain why it’s a massive deportation operation,” Homan began. “Millions of people enter this country illegally, claiming asylum. Secretary Mayorkas has said, under oath, numerous times, for those who don’t qualify for asylum, they’d be immediately removed. Of course, they didn’t do it, so we’re going to do it.”
He added that nine out of ten illegal aliens seeking asylum fail to get it and receive an order to be deported.
“We’ll take them to a judge. But when a judge says, You’re leaving, they have to leave,” Homan explained. “Because we don’t — like I said, then what the hell are we doing? Just shut down immigration court, doesn’t mean anything anymore, and take the Border Patrol off the border, because there’s no consequences.”
The media is going to ramp up its fear mongering over its mass deportations to try and stop the incoming Trump administration from removing illegal aliens.
