The comedian's smirk didn't last long.
Trump just dropped a bomb at the White House that has Democrats scrambling – the Epstein files reveal Jeffrey Epstein and leftist writer Michael Wolff were conspiring against Trump to destroy his election chances.
DOJ Epstein Files Expose Bill Clinton Connection Democrats Wanted Hidden
For years, Democrats demanded the Epstein files release.
They thought they finally had their smoking gun against Trump.
Biden's DOJ dragged its feet until Trump won again, then suddenly rushed to dump 3.5 million pages right after Trump took office.
Democrats bet on finding Trump connections that would destroy him politically.
Instead they got Bill Clinton.

Epstein invoking the Fifth Amendment when asked about Clinton in a 2016 deposition – that's right, refusing to answer because it might incriminate him.
Obama's own White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler gushing in emails that she "adores" Epstein – calling him like having "another older brother" after he offered her first-class tickets to Europe.
Meanwhile, Trump's name appears mainly in emails where Epstein and others gossiped about him or shared news articles.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche stated what the files proved – there's nothing in them that allows prosecution of Trump.
Nothing.
The DOJ even issued a statement that some documents contain "untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election" – obvious political hit jobs with zero credibility.
Michael Wolff Epstein Emails Reveal 2016 Election Conspiracy Against Trump
Here's what Trump revealed Monday that the media won't report.
The files caught Jeffrey Epstein conspiring with leftist writer Michael Wolff – the guy who wrote that garbage "Fire and Fury" book – to destroy Trump politically.
In a March 2016 email, Wolff coached Epstein on creating a "counter narrative" and suggested Trump offers "an ideal opportunity" to deflect from Epstein's own scandals.
Wolff literally wrote: "Also, becoming anti-Trump gives you a certain political cover which you decidedly don't have now."
Think about that.
Epstein – a convicted pedophile – needed "political cover" from Democrats and their media allies, and the price was attacking Trump.
In February 2016, Wolff warned Epstein that reporters were digging into the Trump connection.
Wolff's response? "You're the Trump bullet."
By October 2016 – right before the election – Wolff sent this message: "There's an opportunity to come forward this week and talk about Trump in such a way that could garner you great sympathy and help finish him."
Help finish him.
Democrats and Epstein were coordinating to sabotage a presidential election.
And when that didn't work in 2016, they kept trying.
Epstein later asked Ken Starr – yeah, that Ken Starr – to help Wolff with material for indicting "a sitting pres."
All while feeding Wolff dirt for his anti-Trump books.
The conspiracy is right there in the emails.
Trump Threatens Lawsuit As Epstein Documents Vindicate President
Trump put it perfectly Monday.
"They were working together to try and help me lose the election. But this is the Oval Office, so I guess that didn't work out too well."
Democrats pushed and pushed for these files to be released.
Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act in November – something Biden never would have done – and handed Democrats exactly what they demanded.
Now they're choking on it.
Because instead of implicating Trump, the files expose the coordinated plot between Epstein, Democrat operatives like Wolff, and the entire left-wing media to destroy Trump's presidency before it started.
Trump's now threatening lawsuits against both Wolff and the Epstein estate for conspiracy to harm him politically.
Democrats have gone remarkably quiet.
No more demands for additional document releases.
No more breathless speculation about what the files contain.
Senator Chuck Schumer – who was demanding more Trump-related documents just days ago – suddenly lost interest now that Clinton's connection is undeniable.
The House prepared contempt charges against Bill and Hillary Clinton for refusing to testify about their Epstein ties, but Democrats who were eager for "transparency" suddenly think congressional subpoenas are "invalid and legally unenforceable."
Funny how that works.
When Democrats thought the Epstein files would destroy Trump, transparency was sacred.
Now that the files expose Democrats conspiring with a pedophile to rig an election, it's time to move on.
Trump explained Monday that the DOJ should focus on actual crimes instead of wasting time on documents that only hurt Democrats.
He's right.
The files showed exactly what conservatives suspected – this was never about justice for Epstein's victims.
It was about weaponizing a dead pedophile's crimes against a president Democrats couldn't beat at the ballot box.
They got their document dump.
They got their transparency.
All it proved was that Democrats – not Trump – were the ones conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein.
