FEMA’s mission being compromised to help illegal immigration
The Biden-Harris administration has made no bones about the fact they want to bring as many illegal aliens into the country as possible.
Every part of the federal government is being used to further their open borders agenda.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) would run out of money before the end of hurricane season.
Hurricane Helene became the deadliest storm to hit the country since Hurricane Katrina, with more than 230 people killed and thousands missing.
FEMA has spent more than $1.5 billion on housing, feeding, and transporting illegal aliens since the Biden-Harris administration came into office.
Now, Mayorkas says there isn’t enough money for Americans who had their lives upended by devastating hurricanes.
U.S. Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO), Rand Paul (R-KY), and others sent a letter to President Joe Biden warning that FEMA is compromising its mission of disaster relief by being used to help with the border crisis.
“FEMA’s continued entanglement in DHS’s efforts to respond to the border crisis could impact its readiness and emergency response mission,” the Republican Senators wrote. “Rather than ensuring FEMA is ready to respond to hurricanes and other emergencies, FEMA has been pulled into a border crisis mission.”
The Biden-Harris administration has laughably tried to push back by admitting that FEMA is spending money on illegal aliens but claiming it’s ok because it’s from a different bucket of money.
“We are concerned that your Administration’s reliance on FEMA to address the ongoing border crisis, under Vice President Harris as ‘border czar,’ has diminished FEMA’s readiness for disaster relief, including hurricane response,” the Republican Senators continued.
FEMA’s role in the border crisis is bigger than anyone realized
It’s not just money that FEMA is using to help with the border crisis.
Top FEMA officials have been used to help deal with the surge at the southern border that began in 2001.
FEMA was used to help deal with the growing number of unaccompanied minors arriving at the southern border in 2021.
And a senior FEMA official was assigned to help with the administration’s response to the end of the pandemic public health order Title 42 in 2022.
“FEMA’s efforts responding to the border crisis could have been much more limited if your Administration would have instead used your authorities to secure the border,” the Republican Senators stated.
Former President Donald Trump has ripped the Biden-Harris administration for using FEMA to help illegal aliens.
“They stole the FEMA money, just like they stole it from a bank, so they could give it to their illegal immigrants that they want to have vote for them this season,” Trump said.
