Tom Homan Just Told Margaret Brennan Exactly Who Is Getting ICE Agents Killed

Jul 22, 2026

Democrats spent months screaming that ICE isn't a real law enforcement agency.

Now Tom Homan just explained on live television what happens when people believe them.

And Margaret Brennan sat there with nothing to say after he said it.

The Moment Homan Laid It All Out

Tom Homan has been doing this since 1984.

He knows exactly who bears responsibility when illegal immigrants decide not to comply with federal agents – and Sunday on Face the Nation, he said it out loud.

"I think a lot of the rhetoric that you see every day – especially in sanctuary cities and at these protests that resist, members of Congress saying ICE isn't a real law enforcement agency – I actually think that emboldens some people to say, 'I'm not going to comply with ICE,'" Homan told Brennan.

And then they act shocked when illegal immigrants refuse to stop.

Brennan pushed back on the use of unmarked vehicles – a tired talking point the media has been running all week. Homan shut it down immediately.

"No, they have emergency lights. Officers have insignia, so when they get out of that car and approach the car, you can clearly see the law enforcement officers," he said.

He also pointed out what most people already know – NYPD runs unmarked vehicles constantly because they need to catch people who don't want to be found.

Nobody at CBS News has ever written a breathless segment about that.

Democrats Blocked the Cameras That Would End This Debate

Homan told Brennan that body cameras would "exonerate" ICE officers – but Democrats have spent the past year demanding "accountability" for ICE while blocking the funding that would have put cameras on every agent in the field.

Karoline Leavitt confirmed last week that over half of all ICE field offices now have body cameras, and the new directive requires at least one officer wearing a camera before any traffic stop can proceed.

Now Democrats want to use the absence of footage as evidence of wrongdoing.

They created the problem they're complaining about.

This Is Not a New Pattern

Vehicle stops triggering non-compliance – and non-compliance triggering force – didn't start last week in Maine and Texas.

An 18th Street Gang member wanted for murder in El Salvador tried to run over an ICE officer in California in April 2026.

ICE shot him.

A Honduran national outside Phoenix tried to pull away as agents approached his vehicle in October 2025.

ICE shot him too.

The pattern is consistent: agents conduct a lawful stop, the subject resists, and someone gets hurt.

ICE reported a more than 1,000 percent increase in assaults against agents – including vehicle rammings – since Trump's enforcement surge began. A thousand percent.

That's not an enforcement problem.

That's what happens when Chuck Schumer and AOC spend 18 months telling the country that ICE officers are jackbooted thugs who don't deserve to be obeyed.

Trump overruled the temporary vehicle stop pause the moment he found out about it.

He posted on Truth Social: "The Radical Left Dumocrats would like to see this done, but it won't happen on my watch." Mullin fell in line within hours.

Because Trump understands something Brennan doesn't want to say on television.

Every time a member of Congress holds a press conference telling people to resist federal agents, they are writing the script for the next shooting – and then blaming the agents who had to defend themselves.

Brennan had no answer for that.

Because there isn't one.
