Tom Homan Just Told Democrats Exactly What They Would Do to ICE If They Won

Sep 28, 2026

Democrats spent four years watching millions of illegal aliens flood across the border and called it compassion.

Now they want to abolish the only agency hunting them down.

But Tom Homan just told Democrats exactly what they would do to ICE if they win the Midterms.

The Numbers Democrats Do Not Want You to See

Tom Homan went on The Will Cain Show Wednesday and laid it out cold.

Over 60% of ICE arrests are criminals.

Murderers. Rapists. Drug smugglers. Human traffickers. Child predators.

ICE isn't a rogue agency terrorizing innocent people – it's the reason crime rates are dropping in cities that actually let them work.

Rep. Delia Ramirez of Illinois called ICE "the single biggest threat" and demanded the agency be abolished and replaced with a separate "civil immigration system."

Homan had a simple answer for her.

"If you want to abolish ICE, start by abolishing Congress, because they wrote the law that ICE is enforcing," he said.

ICE does not make up its own rules.

It enforces the Immigration and Nationality Act – a law passed by Congress and signed by a president.

If Ramirez doesn't like deportations, she can change the law.

She won't, because the law is popular and her position is not.

What Democrats Actually Plan to Do

Homan didn't stop at defending the agency.

Democrats know they cannot abolish ICE.

That's not the plan.

"They will starve them for money so they can't do the job," Homan said.

That is the playbook.

Gut the budget, collapse enforcement, then blame ICE when the criminals stay.

They already ran it under Biden.

During those four years, ICE arrests of criminal aliens dropped 63% compared to Trump's first term.

At one point, Biden's DHS ordered ICE to release 14,000 convicted criminals directly onto American streets.

Now those same Democrats want to guarantee the agency can never track them down.

The Real Reason They Hate ICE

Homan asked a question on Wednesday that cuts straight to the motive.

"Who is going to remove the millions of people the Biden administration illegally released in the country?" he asked.

That is the entire argument.

For four years, millions of illegal aliens were released into American communities with no paperwork, no court dates, and no accountability – while Democrats said nothing.

Now they want to destroy the agency that could actually reverse it.

The contrast is not subtle.

Under Biden, DHS arrested fewer than 6,000 criminal aliens in a single year – down from 65,000 in Trump's final year.

Under Trump's second term, ICE has deported more than 2,000 known or suspected terrorists since January 2025 – a figure DHS released on the 25th anniversary of September 11th.

Homan made the broader point Thursday at a Department of Justice Victims of Violent Crime Summit.

"You can hate us all you want. We're not going anywhere,” he said.

The "Abolish ICE" crowd has been running this play since 2018.

That year, more than a dozen Democrats ran for Congress on eliminating the agency.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made it a centerpiece of her first campaign.

Kirsten Gillibrand – who briefly ran for president – called ICE a "deportation force" and said it should be torn down and rebuilt.

Bill de Blasio called it "broken and divisive."

Every one of those politicians lost the argument with the American public.

Now Ramirez is running the same play again, while ICE is in the middle of breaking deportation records.

They Are Not Protecting Immigrants and They Never Were

Homan nailed the Democrat strategy in one sentence.

"This is the same open borders crowd that thinks there's some future political benefit in having millions of illegal aliens in this country that they think will be future Democratic voters," he said.

That is not immigration policy.

That is voter importation.

They watched sanctuary cities shelter convicted felons from ICE and called it humane.

They called the men and women of ICE – agents who have rescued over 150,000 smuggled children under Trump – the real threat to America.

Meanwhile, ICE agents have absorbed a nearly 700% surge in physical assaults against them.

Doxxing websites are publishing their home addresses and the names of their children.

And a Democrat congresswoman from Illinois is on national television calling ICE "the single biggest threat."

Homan is right.

They will never abolish ICE.

But they will starve it the moment they get the chance.

The only thing stopping them is losing elections.

Keep that in mind in November.
