Todd Blanche Found Jack Smith Burn Bags Sitting Where They Would Never Be Burned

Jun 5, 2026

Jack Smith spent years hunting Donald Trump – and someone at the DOJ spent years making sure you never found out how.

That's what Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche just dropped on Sean Hannity's podcast.

A forgotten room packed with Jack Smith investigation documents was sitting inside the DOJ – and Blanche says where those burn bags landed tells the whole story.

The Room Nobody Knew About

Blanche didn't call it a secret room.

He said it more carefully than that – and that makes it worse.

"It's not fair to say it was a secret room," Blanche told Hannity, "but it's a room that had a lot of material in it."

A room full of burn bags from the Jack Smith investigation. Burn bags that were never burned. Sitting in a place they had no business being.

"This one was in a place where I get the point that an honorable FBI agent might have left it there because it was not where it would normally be to be destroyed," Blanche said. "Kind of stumbled on it, but it looked almost intentional."

Read that again.

The Acting Attorney General of the United States just said the placement of those documents looked intentional.

Someone at the DOJ didn't want those records destroyed.

They tucked them somewhere safe and walked away.

That's not bureaucratic sloppiness.

That's a person making a decision.

This Is Bigger Than One Room

This isn't the first time investigators have stumbled onto buried Russiagate materials.

In July 2025, Kash Patel found thousands of classified documents in burn bags inside a room at FBI headquarters – a room that didn't appear on the building's own blueprints.

Nobody had access to it. Nobody knew it was there.

One of those documents was the 29-page classified annex to John Durham's final report – the piece of his investigation that had never seen public light.

That annex reportedly includes intelligence from credible foreign sources, received before the FBI even launched Crossfire Hurricane in July 2016, warning that the bureau would play a role in advancing the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.

Foreign intelligence assets warned the U.S. government – before the probe started – that the FBI was going to be used to push the Russia hoax.

And that document sat in a burn bag, in a room that wasn't on the map, for years.

Dan Bongino, who reviewed the Crossfire Hurricane materials he found in April, called the contents a "mother lode."

He said reading a roughly 100-page document left him scared – not just by what happened, but by how many people inside the government knew and stayed silent.

"I'm reading this document, and I'm like, 'I can't believe this happened in the United States,'" Bongino said. "This thing was bulls— from the start."

The Pattern Democrats Don't Want You to See

The document destruction pattern around the Russia investigation is long and documented.

Andrew Weissmann – Mueller's top prosecutor – deleted all data from his government phone multiple times during the investigation.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley confirmed it.

A paper shredding truck was photographed outside DOJ headquarters as Jack Smith's team packed up after Trump won in 2024.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton went to court in November 2024 specifically to stop Smith's office from destroying records, calling the investigation "a political and legal abomination."

The Durham Report found that Crossfire Hurricane was launched on "raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence."

It found the FBI illegally altered evidence to keep surveillance warrants alive.

It found that warnings about the probe's political origins were ignored at every turn.

Every layer they peel back reveals another layer underneath.

The people who ran the Russia hoax knew exactly what they were doing.

When it was over, they moved to make sure you'd never find out.

They almost pulled it off.

Now Kash Patel is sitting at the FBI and Todd Blanche is running the DOJ – and the rooms they weren't supposed to find keep getting found.
