This Three Time Olympian Got Caught Vandalizing the Reflecting Pool and Donated to Obama Five Times

Jun 26, 2026

Karoline Leavitt just named the people destroying Trump's Reflecting Pool.

The arrests trace straight back to ActBlue, Barack Obama, and the Democrat Party machine.

And now the fencing around that same pool is carrying signs that say "Danger Explosives" – with nobody in Washington explaining why.

What Happened at America's Most Targeted Monument

Trump spent $14.2 million restoring the Reflecting Pool to its original glory – American flag blue, mirror-finish, perfectly reflecting the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial for the first time in a century.

Within days, leftists showed up with box cutters, chemicals, and costumes.

Six people have been arrested.

Seventeen police reports have been filed.

Seven additional individuals received federal citations.

Trump said on Truth Social that vandals worked "probably in the dark of night" to carve a 350-foot gash into the pool's liner – not one clean slash but dozens of deliberate cuts across the full length.

The same operation dumped chemicals into the water to trigger an algae bloom and etched "8647" into the National Mall grass.

This wasn't a protest.

This was coordinated sabotage against an American landmark 10 days before the nation's 250th birthday.

The Olympic Fraud Who Got Caught

The most revealing arrest involved David Hearn – a three-time U.S. Olympian, 67 years old, who once carried the American flag to three straight Summer Games.

Hearn's story: He was just a "curious citizen" who reached down to feel the pool's new coating.

The eyewitness account: He pulled a hose out of the hands of National Park Service workers who were actively vacuuming algae from the pool.

The donor records: Hearn made ten contributions to ActBlue and five separate donations to Barack Obama's presidential campaigns.

He represented this country at the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympics.

He came back home and vandalized an American monument.

His attorney – the same Norm Eisen who spent years in legal warfare against Trump – went on television to claim "it's not a federal crime to touch water."

Federal prosecutors disagree.

Under federal law, defacing government property carries up to 10 years in prison – and U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro has made clear the prosecutions are coming.

The Explosive Sign Nobody in Washington Will Explain

A new video posted to X shows the construction fencing around the pool now carries "Danger Explosives" warning signs – complete with a bomb image.

No one from the administration, the National Park Service, or U.S. Park Police has offered a word of explanation.

Construction crews sometimes post those signs near standard demolition work – controlled blasting to break concrete or rock.

But think about what is already happening at this site.

Someone carved a 350-foot gash into the pool's liner.

Someone dumped chemicals into the water to poison it.

Someone etched an assassination reference into the National Mall grass.

Six arrests. Seventeen police reports. AI surveillance cameras. National Guard troops. A federal prosecutor promising prison time.

And now an unexplained explosives warning – at the same monument the left has already proven it will destroy for spite.

Trump's Interior Department isn't fencing off the Reflecting Pool for routine fireworks prep anymore.

What This Is Really About

Karoline Leavitt put it plainly: "Only the Democrats could hate beautifying our nation's capital and making it a symbol of pride again."

She's right – and every arrest record proves it.

The people showing up to sabotage this pool are the same ones who funded Obama, built the ActBlue machine, and have spent a decade telling America that her monuments are symbols of shame.

They dressed up in algae costumes.

They showed up with box cutters.

They wanted to hand Trump a humiliation in front of the Lincoln Memorial ten days before the 250th birthday of the country he was elected to lead.

Trump is fixing it anyway – draining the pool, making the repairs, keeping the Fourth of July celebration on schedule.

They're going to stand in the dock in front of Jeanine Pirro instead.
