Congress censured Adam Schiff after he spent three years lying about Russia collusion.
On Sunday, Adam Schiff attacked Donald Trump's privately funded Freedom 250 race as a taxpayer-funded distraction.
But then an IndyCar driver who actually raced that day just handed Adam Schiff the most embarrassing fact-check of the summer.
The Lie That Took Thirty Seconds to Demolish
Schiff posted on X Sunday afternoon while hundreds of thousands of Americans – red, blue, and from around the world – were watching Kyle Kirkwood win 147 laps around a 1.7-mile circuit through Washington, D.C.

"While you struggle with the cost of gas, Trump offers you the spectacle of an IndyCar race hoping you will not notice," Schiff wrote. "More taxpayer money spent on his self-aggrandizing distractions. And you get higher taxes and higher costs."
One problem: Penske Corporation paid for it.
IndyCar driver Graham Rahal responded on X: "No, no, Adam. He wanted you to notice and bask in the pride of being AMERICAN, watch great racing and patriotism on display. Not only that, this was privately funded, not government – although it drove thousands of folks to the DC area that have never been. That's economic impact for you."
Penske President Bud Denker had already told Washington's NBC affiliate exactly who was cutting the checks. Asked directly who was paying for the Freedom 250, Denker said: "We are."
Breitbart editor Joel Pollak saw Schiff's post and asked the obvious question.
"What kind of loser posts this?" Pollak wrote. "People had fun."
The Man Who Never Checks the Facts Before Typing
This is a pattern with Adam Schiff.
He stood in front of cameras for three years claiming he had smoking gun evidence of Trump-Russia collusion – evidence he never produced because it never existed.
His own House Intelligence Committee gathered testimony proving no such collusion occurred.
Schiff refused to release those transcripts for years because he knew what was in them.
The Wall Street Journal concluded he was spreading falsehoods even as his own investigators told him the opposite.
Congress formally censured him for it.
Now he's doing the same thing with a race he watched on television – posting accusations he never bothered to verify.

The White House wasn't subtle about it.
"It's a complete disgrace that Pencil-Neck Adam Schiff is willing to trash the United States of America during its historic 250th birthday celebrations simply because he hates President Trump," said White House spokesman Davis Ingle. "The great people of California deserve better."
Former electronics executive Sam Antar broke down exactly what happened.
Schiff "apparently didn't bother checking who actually paid for the race before blaming Trump for 'more taxpayer money spent,'" Antar wrote.
Then, in a separate post: "Schiff saw Trump, started typing, and skipped the part where you check the facts first."
What Really Happened This Weekend
Hundreds of thousands of Americans packed the National Mall to watch the first IndyCar race ever run on the streets of the nation's capital.
Trump waved the green flag.
Military aircraft roared overhead.
Kyle Kirkwood – an American – won the whole thing.
Rahal made a point Democrats are uniquely incapable of grasping: those fans traveled to Washington, stayed in hotels, ate at restaurants, visited the monuments, and spent money.
Many of them, Rahal noted, had never seen the White House or American history in person before.
That's what economic impact looks like when Washington, DC isn't closed off behind barriers and covered in trash from the last protest.
Schiff's own California hosts an IndyCar race in Long Beach every year. California has the highest gas prices in the country.

Schiff has never once complained about IndyCar burning fuel on the streets of Long Beach.
The difference isn't the race.
The difference is Trump waved the flag.
The Lesson He Will Never Learn
The Russia hoax burned for three years, destroyed families across the country, cost millions in tax dollars to investigate, and ultimately produced nothing – because it was based on nothing.
The censure didn't change him.
The Durham report didn't change him.
Being proven wrong publicly over and over again hasn't changed him.
He sees Trump's name, he starts typing, and he doesn't bother with facts – because for Adam Schiff, the facts have never really been the point.
