The Woman Who Put RFK Jr and Donald Trump in the Same Room Just Walked Into the MAHA Summit

Oct 2, 2026

Trump's ex-wife walked into Washington, DC on Tuesday and the Left had no idea what to do with that.

Now the woman who made that meeting happen is front row at the biggest health summit of the year.

What she did two years ago is the reason Vance and Kennedy were on that stage together today.

The Phone Call That Changed American Health Policy

Most people don't know how RFK Jr. ended up in Trump's cabinet.

Marla Maples put them in the same room.

After the assassination attempt on Trump in 2024, Kennedy – whose own father was killed running for president – called Maples.

She told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation the moment shook Kennedy to his core.

Kennedy dropped out of the race, endorsed Trump, and weeks later was nominated to run the entire Department of Health and Human Services.

The woman who made that call walked into the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.

She didn't come as a celebrity guest.

She came as a movement leader.

Maples co-founded the Global Wellness Forum – a coalition she describes as dedicated to "truth, sovereignty and wellness and freedom" – and her organization stood beside Kennedy at his Senate confirmation hearing in early 2025.

She was there when nobody knew if the Senate would confirm him.

She's there now that MAHA is rewriting American food policy.

West Virginia Democrat Governor Patrick Morrisey’s wife, Denise Morrisey, also attended the MAHA summit.

“Make America Healthy Again!!!” Morrisey wrote on social media. “It’s such an honor to be here with Secretary Kennedy who is truly fighting to help make America Healthy Again!!”

What's Actually Happening at This Summit

Vice President JD Vance sat down with Kennedy on Tuesday for a fireside chat that laid out exactly where this administration stands on health.

Vance told Kennedy onstage that throughout history, "all the experts were wrong."

He called MAHA "a critical part of our success in Washington."

This isn't a fringe wellness conference.

The speaker list includes Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya, and CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz.

Walmart, Google, and Neuralink sent representatives.

The topics on the agenda – reforming the FDA, cleaning up the American food supply, banning soda from SNAP benefits – are not fringe ideas anymore.

They're federal policy.

West Virginia already banned seven petroleum-based food dyes under the MAHA framework.

Nearly 40 percent of the American food industry has pledged to voluntarily phase out artificial dyes.

Hershey and PepsiCo are already changing their manufacturing pipelines.

Big Food blinked.

They Laughed at This Movement Three Years Ago

Democrats and their media allies spent years mocking the people who questioned what's in American food.

They called them conspiracy theorists.

They said the science was settled.

They dismissed every parent who noticed their child's behavior changed when they removed dyes and ultra-processed garbage from their diet.

West Virginia legislator Adam Burkhammer – who has adopted or fostered ten kids – watched the difference firsthand when he pulled synthetic dyes from his family's diet.

He turned that experience into law.

Now it applies to every food sold in his state.

That's not a fringe outcome.

That's what happens when a movement gets power.

Marla Maples helped build that coalition before most people took it seriously.

The left spent two years calling MAHA dangerous.

They spent a decade calling anyone who questioned Big Food a lunatic.

Now the Vice President of the United States is on a stage in Washington telling the country the experts were wrong – and the food industry is rewriting its recipes to prove it.

They're still not taking this seriously.

That's exactly why it keeps winning.
