At Zohran Mamdani's victory party, Hakeem Jeffries appeared on the video screen and the crowd turned toward it chanting "You're next."
Now the socialists have a Senate target and they just told us his name.
The man the DSA wants in Chuck Schumer's seat called Israel a terror state.
The Blueprint Takes Shape
Chi Ossé is 28 years old, represents Brooklyn in the City Council, and is on a tour of upstate New York that looks exactly like a Senate campaign.
He appeared at Kingston's Unicorn Bar Tuesday night at a "Take Our Power Back" DSA event.
He pushed for government-run electricity.
He worked the room and posed for photos during a private happy hour before taking the stage.
He told a packed crowd: "I think the era of wait-your-turn politics is over."
"The time for us, the socialists, is right now," he said from a bar stool on stage.
Multiple DSA sources confirmed to Hell Gate that ongoing internal talks aim to run Ossé for Schumer's seat.
New York Assemblywoman Sarahana Shrestha – a DSA member who also spoke at Tuesday's event – went further on the AOC question.
"I think it's not even a rumor," she said when asked about an AOC presidential campaign.
"DSA is openly trying to convince AOC that she should run," Shrestha added.
AOC herself confirmed to The Post last week that she's waiting for the November midterms before deciding anything.
"I will be making any of those considerations after the midterms," she said. "I think we'll learn a lot in November."
Meet the Silver-Spoon Socialist They Want in the Senate
Ossé attended the elite Friends Seminary private school in Manhattan's East Village.
His father is a music-industry attorney whose clients included Jay-Z.
His grandfather built a career as a record producer with Grammy hardware to show for it.
He attended the Met Gala twice, poses for photos with rapper Ice Spice, and counts HBO actresses among his social circle.
His pitch to voters is that he wants to eat the rich.
On policy, Ossé authored the NYC broker fee ban that triggered a 15 percent rent spike the day it hit.

He has called Israel a "terror state" on the record.
He bragged about knocking over a "Jesus worshipper" in the subway.
He once flagged a landscaping company with an Italian name as a "red flag."
Veteran Democrat consultant Hank Sheinkopf – who has run multiple winning statewide campaigns – didn't hedge when The Post asked about Ossé's Senate odds.
"He's a stone-cold antisemite, he won't do well with the Jews – they'll raise money against him," Sheinkopf said. "So will other people in business who don't think he's very good. He's a bigot."
"Statewide races are tough, they're entirely different than working in the city," he added.
Ossé didn't answer The Post's calls and didn't deny a Senate run when asked by a DSA-friendly outlet – instead he claimed socialists were needed to fight fascism.
"I don't believe that our current Democratic leadership is standing up to the plate," Ossé said.
The second-term councilman dropped a congressional bid last year after challenging Jeffries in a primary – the move triggered a "civil war" inside the DSA after Mayor Mamdani personally tried to kill the campaign.
The two have reportedly patched things up since.
Why This Is Closer Than Anyone Wants to Admit
The DSA is not a fringe club anymore.
They surpassed 55,000 members by the end of 2018, won two congressional seats that year, and this summer knocked out three veteran Democrat incumbents in New York while toppling a 30-year congressman in Colorado.
Their strategy hasn't changed since 1982 – infiltrate the Democrat Party and transform it from within until socialists control the nomination process.

It's working.
November is the inflection point.
If DSA-backed candidates hold their new House seats and break through in Michigan and Florida, the 2028 primary opens for AOC in a party the establishment no longer recognizes.
South Carolina votes first in the new calendar.
AOC is pulling 79 percent of Black voters in national polling.
Democrat primaries are won on exactly that coalition.
And if Schumer announces retirement, the clock starts immediately.
The DSA hasn't been this close to controlling a major American political party since Eugene Debs was drawing a million votes.
