Donald Trump is on a mission to dismantle the Deep State in his second term.
He’s already had one major victory before he took office.
And Steve Bannon revealed one bad defeat the Deep State suffered from Donald Trump.
Steve Bannon celebrates the resignation of FBI Director Christopher Wray
President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of his former White House official Kash Patel to serve as FBI director meant a new day was dawning in the Washington, D.C. Swamp.
FBI Director Christopher Wray saw the writing on the wall and resigned before Trump had a chance to fire him.
Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon celebrated picking up a “scalp” with Wray’s resignation on his War Room podcast.
“We don’t call it the Gestapo. We call it the American Gestapo. Stunningly, Chris Wray, Chris Wray resigns,” Bannon declared. “This is what’s so great about these people? They’re so tough and so puffed up and, you know, they’re so going to do this and going to do that. They’re running for the hills.”
Bannon thought Wray wouldn’t leave the FBI without a knockdown, drag-out fight.
“Nobody thought Wray would resign,” Bannon explained. “They thought Trump would have to fire them after he got in. And then it’d be a court [battle]. It’d be a big fight that Congress would get involved. He quit. He quit because he’s a wimp, a pencil-neck loser. He’s afraid of us. That’s why he quit.”
He predicted that former CIA Director John Brennan and other Deep State figures would be terrified now that they lost their FBI protection.
“Look at Brennan. Look at the fear,” Bannon said. “Now they get it that they’re going to have no stop at all for the investigations that are surely going to happen on their criminality.”
Bannon credited his audience and Trump supporters for pressuring Wray to resign.
“A tiny bit of pressure from some crazy man here yelling into a microphone. Right,” Bannon exclaimed. “And you run for the hills. You’re nothing but a bunch of wimps. Stand and fight. Show us something. You’re such a big talker. Show us something.”
Bannon destroys the biased media coverage of Trump’s nominees
Kash Patel is facing a smear campaign from the media designed to sink his nomination before his confirmation hearing next year.
Bannon ripped the media for lying about Trump’s nominee for FBI director.
“We’re tired of the media. These phony reporters at places like NBC, CBS, and ABC,” Bannon stated. “We’re tired of it, of coming out and making editorial comment and making stuff up and lying. Lying about Kash Patel.”
He took aim at the Wall Street Journal for its opposition to Patel and Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.
“Boys and girls, let’s turn here and see. We have here gosh, we have John Bolton,” Bannon said. “He has zero credibility Kash Patel doesn’t belong at the FBI. So I got Tulsi. She’s hard left, her views don’t count. I got Kash. He’s unfit and they smear him right here. You all get his lawyer on this thing, right then, boys and girls. Then I got some hack here. I don’t know who he is, ‘Trump’s misguided attack on birthright citizenship’ right there.”
Bannon noted that the Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch, ran four editorials against Trump and his nominees.
“Well, guess what? John Bolton. Kash Patel is going to be the director of the FBI,” Bannon stated. “Yep. Going to happen, hearing it all over. He’s going to be the director today. Wray We took down Chris Wray. This a scalp for the War Room.”
