A federal judge ordered Stacey Abrams' Fair Fight Action to repay Georgia taxpayers after ruling every single one of her voter suppression claims was false.
Now she's back on MSNBC calling voter ID a tool of "Republican authoritarians."
The woman who spent eight years calling Georgia's elections rigged just told America that proving you're a citizen before voting is oppression.
The Record She's Running From
Abrams lost Georgia's governor's race in 2018 and again in 2022 – the second time by nearly eight points.
After her first loss, she refused to concede and launched a multi-year campaign insisting she had actually won.
Her group Fair Fight Action spent years suing Georgia over voter suppression, raising over $100 million in the process.
A federal judge threw out every claim.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger put it plainly: "It has never been easier to vote and harder to cheat in the state of Georgia."
Then came the ethics commission.
The New Georgia Project – the voter registration organization Abrams founded – admitted to 16 separate violations of Georgia campaign finance law and paid a $300,000 fine, the largest in state history.

The commission found that the group raised $4.2 million and spent $3.2 million to support Abrams and other Democrats without disclosing a single dollar of it.
Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr called the campaign Abrams waged against Georgia's election laws "legally and factually false information" used to file "frivolous and costly lawsuits defaming the State of Georgia."
The Biden DOJ eventually dropped the lawsuit Abrams inspired.
What the SAVE America Act Actually Does
The bill requires what 80 percent of Americans already support: proof of citizenship to register to vote, and a photo ID to cast a ballot.
Sen. Chuck Grassley said it plainly: Americans show photo ID to open a bank account, board a plane, and buy cold medicine.
The bill accepts passports, birth certificates, military IDs, and naturalization certificates – and gives states flexibility to create alternate processes for anyone who can't produce them immediately.
The bill also requires states to cross-reference voter rolls against the DHS citizenship database – the same one Iowa has used successfully for years.
President Trump passed the House version 218 to 213 in February and has pushed Senate Republicans to break the Democrat filibuster.

The Senate took up floor debate in March but Democrats blocked the 60-vote threshold needed for passage.
Trump has called it "one of the most IMPORTANT and CONSEQUENTIAL pieces of legislation in the history of Congress" and vowed to refuse to sign other bills until it passes.
The Audacity Is the Point
Abrams doesn't actually believe requiring a birth certificate is oppression.
She believes Democrats lose when elections are secure and Republicans win when they are.
Every single election reform she has ever opposed – voter ID, proof of citizenship, signature verification, limits on mail voting – has one thing in common: removing layers of accountability that make fraud harder to execute and outcomes easier to challenge.
This is a woman who ran up $1.4 million in campaign debt after burning through $113 million dollars, never paid her staff, and sold off her donor database just to stay solvent.
She cried voter suppression through two losing campaigns in a state that just set record turnout numbers.
Her groups secretly funneled millions in undisclosed contributions and paid the largest ethics fine in Georgia history.
Now she's on MSNBC calling the party of election integrity "Republican authoritarians."

Here's what nobody's saying out loud: Stacey Abrams is worth more to the Democrat fundraising machine as a loser than she ever was as a candidate.
Every voter suppression claim generates donations.
Every lawsuit generates press.
Every MSNBC hit keeps Fair Fight's donor list warm for the next cycle.
She's not fighting voter suppression.
She's monetizing the accusation.
The conservative voters she's warning Americans about?
They're the ones who already proved her wrong – twice.
And she's already cashing the check for the next time she loses.
