The New York Times just published an entire article panicking about pregnant women wearing clothes that fit.
Now Scott Bessent is making it worse – and he’s doing it on purpose.
Scott Bessent went on Jesse Watters Primetime Monday night and summed up the entire Trump inner circle in six words – “We know what their hobby is!”
The White House Baby Boom Nobody Saw Coming
Bessent wasn’t exaggerating.
Karoline Leavitt – the youngest press secretary in American history – welcomed daughter Viviana on May 1.
Stephen Miller and his wife Katie welcomed son Hawthorne Hayes on June 3, their fourth child in six years.
JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance are expecting their fourth child this month – making Usha the first Second Lady in over 100 years to be pregnant while in office.
That’s three families, nine children between them, with a tenth due any day.
Katie Miller put it bluntly on Instagram: “The most feminist thing you can do is make babies.”

The Times responded by publishing a piece – and we are not making this up – titled “The Politics and Power of the Pregnancy Image.”
Their complaint: Usha Vance had the nerve to appear in public wearing a coral maternity dress that showed her stomach.
Usha’s response was an $8.75 Old Navy receipt and a question about what the Times would say about her elastic-waistband pants next.
Bessent Just Handed Conservatives a Rallying Cry
Here’s what the media doesn’t want to talk about.
These aren’t politicians hiding behind “family values” rhetoric while living something else entirely.
These are young conservatives – Leavitt is 28 years old – building actual large families in the middle of the highest-pressure jobs in the country.
Bessent made the joke while walking Jesse Watters through the Treasury building, previewing new currency bearing President Trump’s signature and promoting Trump Accounts – the $1,000 investment seed money the administration is now distributing to every American baby born between 2025 and 2028.
The accounts launched July 4 as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill.
Over 6 million children have already been registered, with 1.4 million eligible for the government’s $1,000 deposit.

Michael Dell pledged $6.25 billion to extend a $250 gift to qualifying older children.
Bessent called it one of “the great social benefits for young people since the G.I. Bill.”
This Is What Winning the Culture War Looks Like
The Left spent decades selling America on the idea that children were a burden – that the enlightened choice was fewer kids, later in life, or none at all.
The data shows who bought it.
A peer-reviewed study in Scientific Reports tracked birth rates across 17 American generations and found a striking split beginning in the 1940s: conservatives held fertility at or above the 2.1 replacement level while left-wing birth rates dropped sharply below it.
Separate research from the Institute for Family Studies puts the modern gap in starker terms: in the 2020s, 71% of conservative women ages 25–35 are parents – unchanged from the 1980s.
Among liberal women the same age: 40%, down from 60% forty years ago.
The gap between “extremely liberal” and “extremely conservative” Americans now amounts to nearly half a child per woman over a lifetime.
That demographic reality is what Bessent’s joke is actually pointing at.
While Democrats spent the last four years arguing over pronouns and funding DEI bureaucracies, the people rebuilding the country built families.

Trump Accounts are designed to lock in the advantage – making every newborn American a capitalist from day one, with investment accounts that grow for 18 years before the child can touch them.
Bessent said up to 20 states are expected to contribute additional funds, turning a federal initiative into a nationwide pro-family investment network.
The New York Times is writing think pieces about coral maternity dresses.
The Trump administration is building the next generation of conservatives, one baby at a time – and handing each of them $1,000 on the way out the door.
