Rosie O'Donnell packed her bags and fled to Ireland the moment Donald Trump won in 2024.
Sunday night she snuck back into the country for the Tony Awards – and couldn't last two hours without attacking the president who made her run.
She stood on the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall and called Trump a conman, a narcissist, and a psychopath – and every American watching knew exactly why she's been hiding in Dublin.
The Woman Who Promised to Leave and Actually Did
O'Donnell has hated Trump for 20 years.
It started in 2006 when she used her platform on The View to mock him over the Miss USA pageant.
Trump called her a "real loser" and a "woman out of control."
She called him "Satan" at a GLAAD awards ceremony in 2017.
He used her name at a 2015 presidential debate when asked about insulting women – his response was two words: "Only Rosie."
Twenty years of this – and O'Donnell finally made good on what every celebrity threatens and never delivers.
She left.
Moved to Howth, Ireland.
Applied for Irish citizenship through her grandparents' roots.
Then Trump threatened to strip her citizenship on Truth Social – calling her "not in the best interests of our Great Country" and a "Threat to Humanity."
Her response was to post a photo of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein and call him "King Joffrey with a tangerine spray tan."
She Came Back to Call Him a Psychopath at a Theater Awards Show
Sunday's performance was vintage O'Donnell.
She told Variety she's been a New Yorker her whole life and knew Trump was "an a–hole and a liar from day one."
She remembered when his planes were repossessed at LaGuardia.
She remembered when he was broke.
She remembered when he called up places pretending to be his own publicist.
"He is a conman. He is a narcissist. And he is a psychopath if you ask me."
She told The Hollywood Reporter that American politics were "horrific."
Then she got back on a plane to Dublin.
The Most Pathetic Victory Lap in Broadway History
Think about what she actually did Sunday night.
She flew in from Ireland, walked the red carpet, called the president a psychopath to a Variety reporter – and left.
That's the whole move.
This is the woman so certain Trump was destroying America that she abandoned it.
Packed up. Left her kids' home country. Moved to a small coastal town in Ireland.
And then came back for a Broadway awards show to recycle the same attacks she's been making since 2006.
Conman. Narcissist. Psychopath.
She called him Satan in 2017.
He's still here.
She's the one living in Howth.

Twenty years of O'Donnell telling everyone Trump is a fraud – and the man just won his second term and didn't lose a night of sleep over the Tony Awards.
Meanwhile O'Donnell was sneaking back into the country in secret, telling Chris Cuomo in February she "wanted to make sure it was safe" to visit her own children in her own country.
Safe.
She fled America because she was scared of an election result, and the bravest thing she could manage on her return was calling Trump names at a theater awards show before running back to Ireland.
Trump was at Madison Square Garden Monday night watching the Knicks.
If that's what resistance looks like, he has nothing to worry about.
