Robert De Niro Called Trump’s Cabinet Goons and Then Told You to Skip Work for the Billionaires He Works For

May 6, 2026

Robert De Niro showed up at the Supreme Court and called the President's cabinet "goons."

Now he's back – this time telling American workers to skip their jobs in the name of fighting billionaires.

The man with a $500 million net worth wants you to sacrifice your paycheck so he can feel like a revolutionary.

Hollywood's Richest Anti-Billionaires Show Up for May Day

De Niro opened the video with a straight face and said, "Our country runs because of working people, not the billionaires or the politicians."

Bette Midler – estimated net worth $250 million – echoed the message seconds later.

"Workers over billionaires," she declared.

Mark Ruffalo shared the whole thing to his 9.5 million followers.

These are the workers standing up against the billionaires.

Jane Fonda appeared too.

This is the same Jane Fonda who sat on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun in 1972 – the kind used to shoot down American pilots – smiled for the cameras, and earned the nickname "Hanoi Jane" that has followed her ever since.

She called this a May Day action "against fascism."

An anti-American activist from the 1970s is now defining fascism for the rest of us.

Rob Schneider said what every normal person watching was thinking.

"Millionaire ACTORS ALWAYS know what is best for people," Schneider wrote on X, before noting they "live far away from" the communities they claim to speak for, "behind gates in guard gated communities."

This Isn't a Labor Movement – It's a Communist Holiday With a $2 Billion Budget

May Day isn't a neutral workers' holiday.

It's the international rallying point for socialist, communist, and anarchist movements – the Soviet Union ran military parades on it, and Communist China still does.

A Fox News Digital investigation identified roughly 600 organizations – including hard-line communist groups and Democrat Party committees – mobilizing an estimated 3,000 protests and events nationwide, with a combined annual revenue of about $2 billion.

The anti-billionaire movement had a $2 billion budget.

The network includes at least 200 chapters of Indivisible – one of the largest Democrat-aligned grassroots organizations in the country – marching alongside 80 chapters of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Fox News Digital also traced a significant chunk of the funding to a tech tycoon living in Shanghai who pumped an estimated $278 million into activist groups driving street demonstrations across the United States.

A man in Shanghai is funding the people telling you America is run by billionaires for billionaires.

Chicago Teachers Union president Stacy Davis Gates appeared in the celebrity video too – the same union whose teachers encouraged students to ditch class and attend the rally.

Fox News caught a Chicago Public Schools student named Cody West carrying a Party for Socialism sign at the protest.

When asked if he believed in socialism, West admitted: "not really, not too much."

His teachers sent him anyway.

The Goon Who Showed Up to Fight Fascism

De Niro hasn't been quiet between May Day appearances.

Last month he was outside the Supreme Court calling Trump's cabinet "goons" and saying the president "must be stopped, and must be stopped now."

He has called Trump a "piece of s—," a "nasty little b—-," and said he'd like to punch him in the face.

He went on The View and compared Trump's return to power to Hitler and Mussolini.

He starred in a Biden campaign ad and showed up outside the Manhattan courthouse during Trump's 2024 trial to campaign against him in person.

Trump called him a "wacko" and "pathetic." The crowd outside the courthouse called him a washed-up actor to his face.

Now this same man is recording videos about the dignity of working people.

The Ask Always Costs You, Never Them

Every time a Republican wins the White House, the same playbook drops: coordinated resistance content, celebrities alongside union leaders, someone invokes fascism, and the ask lands on the average worker – skip your job, pull your kids from school, stop spending money.

De Niro doesn't skip a paycheck.

Midler doesn't skip a paycheck.

Fonda hasn't risked a thing since she was photographed on that gun in Hanoi.

When the richest people in entertainment tell you to walk off your job to fight billionaires, ask one question: who put the $278 million in from Shanghai?

Not you.

Not your family.

Definitely not Robert De Niro.
