Pete Hegseth dropped the hammer on woke military chaplains with this bold move

Dec 27, 2025

The Biden administration spent four years gutting the military from within.

Every institution that made America's armed forces the most powerful on Earth was targeted for destruction.

And Pete Hegseth dropped the hammer on woke military chaplains with this bold move.

Biden's military turned God into therapy sessions

For 250 years, military chaplains served as the spiritual backbone of America's fighting force.

George Washington established the Chaplain Corps in 1775 as one of his first acts as commander of the Continental Army because he understood what Joe Biden never could — that warriors need faith, not feelings.

But the woke Left spent decades destroying that sacred tradition.

They turned chaplains into therapists, ministers into life coaches, and prayer into "wellness check-ins."

The proof is right there in black and white.

The current Army Spiritual Fitness Guide runs over 100 pages and mentions God exactly one time.

One.

Meanwhile it references "feelings" 11 times and dedicates nine entries to "playfulness" — whatever that means.

Zero mentions of virtue, duty, or honor.

The guide peddles New Age garbage about soldiers' spirits consisting of "consciousness, creativity, and connection" while 82% of service members identify as religious.

That's the Biden military in a nutshell — lecture Christians about their beliefs while pushing secular humanism that alienates the very warriors who volunteer to die for this country.

Hegseth brings back faith and throws out the woke handbook

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced this week he's eliminating the Army Spiritual Fitness Guide effective immediately.

"These types of training materials have no place in the War Department," Hegseth stated during remarks at the Pentagon. "Our chaplains are chaplains, not emotional support officers, and we're going to treat them as such."

Hegseth signed the directive on camera and made clear this is just the beginning.

The Biden Pentagon also created an absurdly complex system with over 200 "faith and belief codes" for chaplains to navigate.

Turns out an overwhelming majority of military personnel only use six of those codes, and 11 codes aren't used by anyone at all.

That's government bureaucracy at its finest — creating complexity for complexity's sake while making it harder for chaplains to actually minister to troops.

Hegseth's streamlining the entire system down to codes that service members actually use.

"More reforms will be coming in days and weeks ahead," Hegseth explained. "There will be a top-down cultural shift, putting spiritual well-being on the same footing as mental and physical health."

The 1956 Army Chaplain's Manual described the chaplain as "pastor and shepherd of the souls entrusted to his care" — a sacred calling that requires freedom to boldly guide their flock.

Biden's Pentagon stripped that freedom away in favor of politically correct nonsense that treats faith like a liability instead of the source of strength it's always been.

The war on warriors targeted the soul

Hegseth's reforms strike at the heart of what the Biden administration did to America's military.

They didn't just weaken readiness with failed recruitment and retention — though those numbers are catastrophic.

They attacked the warrior ethos itself by stripping away the spiritual foundation that's sustained American fighting men and women through every war since the Revolution.

When you remove God from military service, you remove the transcendent purpose that transforms civilians into warriors willing to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Biden's generals replaced that with therapy sessions about feelings and self-care seminars that belong in a corporate HR department, not a combat unit preparing for war.

The timing couldn't be more critical as threats multiply across the globe.

China's building the world's largest navy while Russia prosecutes its war in Ukraine and Iran funds terrorism across the Middle East.

America needs warriors with moral clarity and spiritual strength, not "emotionally intelligent" soldiers worried about their consciousness and creativity scores.

Hegseth gets it because he served three combat tours and earned two Bronze Stars.

He knows warriors need chaplains who preach the Gospel and minister to souls facing death, not life coaches pushing secular humanism.

This is exactly the kind of house-cleaning Trump voters demanded when they gave the President a mandate to restore American strength.

Every institution captured by woke ideology must be reclaimed, and the military chaplaincy is ground zero for that fight.

The men and women who volunteer to defend this nation deserve spiritual leaders who actually believe in something beyond themselves.

Hegseth's delivering on that promise and daring the woke mob to stop him.
