Bernie Sanders just declared war on artificial intelligence.
The Socialist senator wants to freeze America's AI progress and warned of mass unemployment.
But a Palantir exec blew the lid off Bernie Sanders' massive unemployment lie.
Sanders wants to stop America from winning the AI race
Bernie Sanders posted a video this week calling for a complete halt to AI data center construction across America.
The Vermont Senator claimed AI would create "massive unemployment" and destroy millions of jobs.
"If AI and robotics eliminate millions of jobs and create massive unemployment, how will people survive if they have no income?" Sanders asked in the video.¹
Sanders wants Congress to freeze the entire industry while Washington bureaucrats figure out how to regulate it into the ground.
Sanders attacked President Trump's Genesis mission to make America the AI capital of the world while China races ahead on AI development.
Sanders wants to kill that momentum by blocking the data centers that power American AI leadership.
He's essentially handing China a roadmap to dominate artificial intelligence while America stands still.
Palantir CTO exposes Sanders' lies about job losses
Palantir Chief Technology Officer Shyam Sankar appeared on Fox Business to set the record straight.
"The story that is really underreported is how AI is a blue-collar revolution," Sankar told hosts Dagen McDowell and Brian Brenberg.²
Factory foremen spend more time building parts than on production planning because AI handles the paperwork.
ICU nurses deliver more life-saving care instead of drowning in data collection.
Sankar pointed to a manufacturing customer that added an entire third shift after AI streamlined production planning.
"Without that labor utilization being at a certain rate, it wasn't profitable to hire more American workers," Sankar explained. "With it, more jobs are created."³
Real companies are hiring more workers and creating opportunities for Americans locked out of high-tech manufacturing.
Former casino workers making EV batteries in three months
Panasonic Energy's story destroys everything Sanders claims about AI.
Panasonic builds electric vehicle batteries at their Reno facility where it normally takes three years of apprenticeship to become a skilled battery technician.
With AI training, Panasonic takes former casino workers off the street and turns them into qualified technicians in just three months.
Former blackjack dealers and slot machine attendants are now building cutting-edge battery technology for Tesla and other EV manufacturers.
They're earning good wages in skilled manufacturing jobs they couldn't have qualified for under the old system.
"It's a complete propaganda schtick coming out of Silicon Valley, where they want to talk about how powerful the tech is," Sankar said. "It's so powerful it might lead to mass unemployment. So powerful it may end humanity. And that's just frankly not true."⁴
The real propaganda comes from Sanders and his socialist allies terrified that AI might actually work.
Trump understands America needs to focus on AI's demand side, not just infrastructure.
"We need to invest more in the AI demand side," Sankar explained. "How do we drive economic value from these models? How do these models result in prosperity for the average American worker?"⁵
Sanders would rather America lose the AI race than allow private companies to lead innovation.
President Trump is positioning America to dominate artificial intelligence while Sanders wants to freeze progress before American workers see the benefits.
