Nvidia CEO Just Said Something About AI That Has Every Blue-Collar Worker In America Paying Attention

Jan 25, 2026

Trump promised to bring manufacturing jobs back to America.

Wall Street worried that meant robots would replace factory workers – another broken promise from another politician.

Then Nvidia's CEO stood up in front of the world's richest people at Davos and explained exactly who's about to get rich from the $85 trillion AI buildout.

Trump Manufacturing Jobs Blueprint: AI Data Center Construction Boom

Jensen Huang told Fox Business from Davos on Wednesday that artificial intelligence is triggering "the largest infrastructure buildout in human history."

He's not talking about coding jobs in Silicon Valley.

He named the actual workers who'll build the AI factories powering America's next industrial revolution.

"Workers, plumbers, electricians, network technicians, construction workers, designers, architects," Huang said. "It's going to create lots and lots of jobs."

Six-Figure Trade Jobs: $85 Trillion AI Infrastructure Spending

Huang estimates $85 trillion in infrastructure spending over the next 15 years to build out AI's five layers – energy, chips, data centers, cloud infrastructure, and AI factories.

That's not venture capital money disappearing into apps.

That's real steel, concrete, electrical grids, and cooling systems that somebody has to install.

Huang told Maria Bartiromo that "President Trump wants to re-industrialize the United States. And AI is really a perfect time to do it."

Trump's been saying American manufacturing died because we shipped jobs overseas and let China eat our lunch.

Huang just confirmed the AI revolution requires building massive infrastructure on American soil.

Blue-Collar AI Jobs Washington Forgot: Electrician and Plumber Shortage Crisis

Huang told the Davos crowd that "for many people who don't have a computer science degree, all of you can be programmers now" because AI makes the technology accessible.

But the real opportunity isn't programming AI – it's building the physical infrastructure that powers it.

Ford CEO Jim Farley has been warning for months about shortages in what he calls the "essential economy."

The country is short 600,000 factory workers and 500,000 construction workers right now.

Huang just explained why those jobs are about to become the most valuable positions in the American economy.

Fortune reported that Huang sees six-figure opportunities for electricians, plumbers, and construction workers building AI data centers.

For jobs that don't require four-year degrees or student loan debt.

Nvidia American Manufacturing: Trump's Second Term Meets AI Revolution

Nvidia plans to produce $500 billion of AI infrastructure in the United States over the next four years through partnerships with TSMC, Foxconn, and other manufacturers.

That doesn't count the data centers, power plants, and network infrastructure that companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta are racing to build.

The timing couldn't be better for Trump's second term.

His tariffs and "America First" industrial policy meet the largest infrastructure spending cycle in human history.

Huang dismissed fears about selling AI chips to China with a fact that terrifies Beijing.

"H200 chips are not used by their military because their military, like our military, builds on their own chips," he told Bartiromo.

Translation: China's got chips, but they don't have the energy infrastructure, the land, or the skilled workforce to build gigawatt-scale AI factories at American speed.

Trump's Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is pushing a $1 trillion semiconductor investment to end U.S. reliance on China for chip manufacturing.

Huang's Nvidia is manufacturing those chips in America – Texas specifically – creating high-tech manufacturing that makes China's leaders sweat.

Energy grids, data centers, chip fabs – you build those where you have stable power, rule of law, and skilled workers.

Construction Jobs 2026: Youngstown to Lordstown, Trump Promise Delivered

Trump campaigned in Youngstown in 2017 telling workers "don't sell your house" because manufacturing was coming back.

Wall Street mocked him.

Foxconn, OpenAI, and SoftBank just announced plans to turn the old GM plant in Lordstown, Ohio into an AI equipment manufacturing hub.

Huang's describing an economic transformation that puts welders, electricians, and construction workers at the center of American prosperity instead of the margins.

That's not campaign rhetoric.

That's the largest infrastructure buildout in human history landing in Trump's second term, requiring exactly the workers he promised to champion.
