Ronald Reagan took a bullet outside the Washington Hilton in 1981 and nearly died.
Trump just survived his third assassination attempt at that exact same building.
And the number of people who have tried to assassinate Trump just hit a record that no commander in chief in American history has ever come close to.
The Numbers Are Staggering
Every President in U.S. history who faced an assassination attempt faced exactly one.
Gerald Ford faced two – both in September 1975, within 17 days of each other – and that was considered historically extraordinary.
Trump has now survived three confirmed assassination attempts, nearly a dozen additional threat-related incidents, and a total of nearly 20 documented threats since he first took office in 2017.
That’s not a political talking point.
That’s a verified, documented federal law enforcement record.
The Butler, Pennsylvania shooting in July 2024 is the one everyone remembers – the bullet that grazed his ear while he pumped his fist and mouthed “fight.”

Two months later, Ryan Wesley Routh was caught hiding in bushes near Trump’s Florida golf course with a rifle.
Routh received a life sentence in February 2026.
Then came April 2026 – the White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the same Washington Hilton where Hinckley shot Reagan.
A man named Cole Allen allegedly charged the security checkpoint armed with weapons, shot an officer, and was taken into custody.
Three attempts.
Three separate attackers.
Three different methods.
Iran Was Running a Kill Operation
Two of these plots weren’t domestic lone wolves.
They were Iranian government operations – and the mainstream media barely covered either one.
In July 2024 – one day before the Butler shooting – the FBI arrested Pakistani national Asif Merchant in Houston.
Merchant had been trained by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and recruited to arrange the assassination of Trump and other U.S. officials.
In March 2026, a federal jury in New York found him guilty on terrorism and murder-for-hire charges.

A second IRGC-linked plot targeting Trump was uncovered in November 2024.
The lead defendant, Farhad Shakeri – an Afghan national deported from the U.S. in 2008 – was living in Tehran working as an IRGC asset.
His handler reportedly told him when he raised concerns about the difficulty of killing Trump: “We have already spent a lot of money . . . money’s not an issue.”
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed in March 2026 that Shakeri was killed in a U.S. military operation.
Think about what that means: a foreign government ran multiple coordinated operations to assassinate an American President – and most Americans have no idea.
The Left’s Fingerprints Are All Over This
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t mince words after the Correspondents’ Dinner attack.
“Those who constantly, falsely label and slander the president as a fascist and a threat to democracy and compare him to Hitler to score political points are fueling this kind of violence,” Leavitt said. “The left-wing cult of hatred against POTUS and all of those who support him has gotten multiple people killed.”
Joe Biden called Trump a threat to democracy for years.
Then Biden told donors in a private call that it was “time to put Trump in the bulls-eye” – language he later admitted was a “mistake” after the Butler shooting.
And the Democrats who spent a decade calling Trump Hitler, calling him a fascist, calling him an existential threat to America – they gave every one of these attackers the green light.
The pattern isn’t subtle.
A man wrote a letter saying “Donald J. Trump must perish” and got 27 months.

A man posted on TikTok that the only way to make America great was “putting a bullet in between Trump’s eyes” and got more than three years.
A 23-year-old posted he wanted to cut Trump with a razor blade and feed his skin to stray dogs.
This is what years of calling the President of the United States a Nazi does to unstable people.
This Is the Most Dangerous Political Moment Since Lincoln
John Wilkes Booth killed Lincoln because he couldn’t accept that Lincoln had won and that his cause had lost.
No president since has faced what Trump has faced: domestic lone actors, organized left-wing political violence, and two confirmed foreign state assassination programs – simultaneously.
The precedent that’s being set is terrifying.
If you can try to kill a President three times in two years and the political party that spent years fueling that hatred faces zero accountability, the threats don’t stop.
They escalate.
The FBI arrested a suspect in August 2026 who was photographing security preparations at the Trump National Golf Club in California – carrying a loaded magazine and a fake security badge.
Ford’s two attempts in 17 days in 1975 felt like a crisis.
What Trump has endured for nearly a decade – with foreign governments actively funding kill operations and domestic attackers citing left-wing rhetoric as their motivation – is something America has never seen before.
And the people responsible for lighting the match are still on television every night telling you Trump is the dangerous one.
