Funny how Newsom lectures everyone about rolling over for Trump while he's literally posing for propaganda photos with a globalist billionaire who's spent decades trying to remake America.
Bessent didn't hold back at a press conference Wednesday.
"Governor Newsom, who strikes me as Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken, may be the only Californian who knows less about economics than Kamala Harris," Bessent said.
Then came the kill shot: "He's here this week with his billionaire sugar daddy, Alex Soros, and Davos is the perfect place for a man who, when everyone else was on lockdown, when he was having people arrested for going to church, he was having $1,000 a night meals at the French Laundry."

While Newsom was ordering Californians locked in their homes and threatening them with arrest for attending church, he was dining maskless with lobbyists at one of the world's most expensive restaurants.

The White House response tells you everything about how seriously they're taking this.
"Gavin Newscum auditioning to be Alex Soros' next sugar baby is a waste of time," White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers said.
"All the money in the world could not make Newscum's pitiful presidential dreams come true."
That's not typical political sparring.
That's a declaration that the gloves are off.
Senator Ted Cruz joined the pile-on by posting an AI-generated version of the Soros-Newsom photo showing California's governor in a NASCAR uniform covered with "Soros" and "CCP" sponsorship logos.
Even left-wing analysts couldn't defend this one.
MSNBC's Tim Miller wrote: "Someone confiscate Alex Soros' Instagram account."
Former Army intelligence officer Tony Shaffer said it best: "Tells you all you need to know about Gavin Newsom's true allegiance – Newsom is the Soviet star in the Marxist globalists vision."
Meanwhile, Newsom's claiming the Trump administration blocked him from speaking at Davos.
When asked about it, the White House neither confirmed nor denied but added this zinger through spokeswoman Anna Kelly: "No one in Davos knows who third-rate governor Newscum is or why he is frolicking around Switzerland instead of fixing the many problems he created in California."
The real question is what was Newsom even doing at Davos in the first place.
