Nancy Pelosi managed the behind the scenes maneuvering that forced Joe Biden to quit the 2024 race.
CNN’s Dana Bash scored the first interview with Pelosi since she, Barack Obama, and a handful of billionaires vetoed the results of the party Primary.
Pelosi and Biden served together in Congress for decades and forged a close bond.
But the two aren’t so close anymore for obvious reasons.
Pelosi admitted to Bash that the two haven’t spoken since Biden ended his re-election campaign under duress.
“Have you spoken to President Biden since he dropped out?” Bash asked.
“No, I have not,” Pelosi responded.
“Do you hope to?” Bash followed up.
Pelosi didn’t sound like she was in any rush to pick up the phone.
“Yes, when– I hope to. We’re all busy,” Pelosi stated.
Pelosi then hinted their friendship was over.
“Is everything OK with your relationship?” Bash wondered.
“You’d have to ask him, but I hope so,” Pelosi replied.
Pelosi then spoke of Biden in the past tense, a dead give away she didn’t expect to exchange Christmas cards with Biden anytime soon.
“But he knows. Look, I have loved Joe Biden, respected him for over 40 years,” Pelosi added.
“I think he has made one of the biggest contributions to our country in the shortest period of time of any President you can name,” Pelosi concluded.
Pelosi forced Biden out of a race he didn’t want to quit
Nancy Pelosi reportedly gave Joe Biden the choice of leaving the race the easy way or the hard way.
Former CNN commentator Chris Cillizza said Joe Biden clearly chose the hard way.
Nancy Pelosi says she hasn’t spoken to Joe Biden since he dropped out of the race.
Asked if their relationship is ok, she responded: “You’d have to ask him.”

Joe Biden made it clear repeatedly that he wanted to remain the Democrat Party nominee for President.
But it shows how ruthless Democrats are that the power didn’t reside with the sitting President of the United States who won the nomination in the Primaries.
Pelosi showed she didn’t mean a word of what she said about “protecting democracy.”
What matters to Pelosi and her fellow Democrat Party elites is maintaining power.
And Democrats like Pelosi don’t care about what norms or relationships they need to trash along the way.
