Megyn Kelly breaks down why Joe Biden pardoned Hunter Biden
Joe Biden’s blanket pardon for Hunter Biden for all crimes he may have committed from January 2014 through December 1, 2024, stunned Americans.
But not Megyn Kelly.
On her podcast, Megyn Kelly broke down the fact that the pardon of Hunter Biden was really an act of self-preservation by Joe Biden.
Kelly explained that Biden didn’t pick the January 2014 date at random for when the pardon began.
January 2014 was when Hunter Biden joined the board of directors at Burisma.
“Let’s go through the timeline. The dates actually are important. It starts back in January of 14, just before Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma, this Ukrainian energy company,” Kelly began.
Joe Biden was Vice President at the time in charge of Ukraine policy.
Kelly said that was the key to understanding all of this.
“And Hunter had no expertise in energy whatsoever. His dad was the sitting vice president of the United States, and he’s been pardoned. Now, why would you have to go back to all that stuff?” Kelly added.
Kelly told her audience that Joe Biden was really pardoning himself because any investigation into Hunter Biden’s Ukrainian business dealings would inevitably entangle Joe Biden since access to Joe Biden was what Hunter Biden was selling.
“I mean, we all know why. Because Joe Biden is pardoning himself and not just his son. He wants to make sure that all of those alleged crimes for which his DOJ already gave Hunter a pass remain untouched,” Kelly continued.
Kelly raised the question of how this pardon would affect how Donald Trump handles business once he re-enters the Oval Office.
“We’ve all been saying it. And this I don’t know, does it change anybody’s view of what’s going to happen? And most importantly, I guess the question is, does it change what President Trump is likely to do once he is sworn in again?” Kelly stated.
Kelly also discussed the unusual nature of the charges Hunter Biden faced.
Prosecutors let the statute of limitations expire on the most serious tax charges since those would have involved Hunter Biden’s dealings in Ukraine while bringing him up on gun charges that few Americans face.
“People are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form. As if this is really all just about the gun. Right. That is the trial that he had. But there’s a reason he was only tried at that trial on the gun form thing,” Kelly declared.
From the start, the kid gloves Hunter Biden got treated with were because he was Joe Biden’s son.
Investigating Hunter Biden meant investigating Joe Biden because to charge Hunter Biden with a crime for illegal foreign lobbying, prosecutors would have to say why Hunter Biden was selling access to Joe Biden.
And Joe Biden ended those questions with his blanket pardon for Hunter Biden.
