The Snack Wrap is returning to McDonald’s menu next year
McDonald’s has had a few items develop a cult-like following over the years.
Fans of the McRib wait every year until it makes its temporary return to the menu.
The McDonald’s Snack Wrap has become one of the most talked about discontinued menu items at the fast food giant.
Snack Wraps debuted in 2006 and were pulled from the menu in 2016.
They consisted of grilled or crispy chicken strips, shredded lettuce, cheese, and a choice of ranch, chipotle BBQ, and honey mustard for a sauce.
The Snack Wrap’s ingredients were rolled up in a flour tortilla, which made it perfect for eating on the go.
It was part of a push to put healthier items on the menu to compete with chains like Panera.
McDonald’s fans have been clamoring for the Snack Wrap to return since it disappeared from the menu.
The fast-food chain has simplified its menu over the past decade by getting rid of salads and chicken tenders – the two sources of the chicken used in the Snack Wrap.
Business Insider reported that the Snack Wrap was pulled from McDonald’s menu because it took too long for employees to assemble.
But McDonald’s listened to its fans and announced that the Snack Wrap would be returning to menus next year.
“Snack wraps xx.xx.2025,” McDonald’s wrote on X.
This is not a drill: Snack Wraps are coming BACK to McDonald’s in 2025!
The date is not confirmed, but I’d expect them early 2025 and that they’ll be similar to what Canada has.

Fans rejoice as McDonald’s brings back the Snack Wrap
McDonald’s U.S. President Joe Erlinger admitted on ABC’s Good Morning America that fans of the Snack Wrap reached out to him about bringing them back.
“The Snack Wrap will be back in 2025,” Erlinger said. “This has a cult following. I get so many emails into my inbox about this product. It will be back in 2025.”
Erlinger couldn’t give an exact date for the Snack Wrap’s return, citing “competitive reasons.”
McDonald’s senior marketing director Guillaume Huin revealed on social media that fans clamoring for the Snack Wrap’s return played a role in bringing it back to the menu.
“Twitter, and now X, had a gigantic impact on the return of the Snack Wraps,” Huin wrote on X. “I shared on another post that snack wraps were, BY FAR, our most requested items of all time. The people won, and there’s no better gift for a company than the one to just make people happy. Tears of joy, my friend.”
There’s been no word if McDonald’s will change the ingredients from the original version.
Social media users hoped that the original Snack Wrap recipe would be returning.
“Better be made with the chicken selects, I don’t want a ‘McChicken cut in half’ snack wrap,” a social media user stated.
McDonald’s listened to its customers and brought back one of its all-time fan-favorite menu items.
The return of the Snack Wrap will have fans lining up at McDonald’s to get a taste of nostalgia.
