Liz Cheney pretends that she’s standing up for the rule of law against Donald Trump.
She wanted to keep the ugly truth hidden about her as long as possible.
And Liz Cheney’s week went from bad to worse after this illegal scheme was exposed.
Liz Cheney committed unethical and highly likely illegal behavior toward witness
House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) has been investigating former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) sham January 6 Select Committee for misconduct.
Loudermilk came across some disturbing behavior from RINO Liz Cheney who served as the vice chair for Pelosi’s committee.
Cheney used the encrypted messaging app Signal to reach out to former Trump White House official Cassidy Hutchinson behind the back of her attorney.
She wanted to get Hutchinson to hire new attorneys who would be more cooperative with the January 6 Committee.
Hutchinson’s attorney, Stefan Passantino, never signed off on Cheney contacting his client without his knowledge.
Loudermilk laid out the problem with this unauthorized contact during an appearance on the John Solomon Reports podcast.
“You have a Member of Congress who is an attorney, who knows— I’m not an attorney, but I know at least you know some of the basics of attorney client privilege and representation — that it’s unethical, if not, in some cases illegal,” Loudermilk explained.
“You know, that you cannot have conversations or meetings with someone who already has representation without that attorney present,” Loudermilk added.
Cheney is licensed as an attorney in Washington, D.C., and is bound by the rules of professional conduct for the D.C. Bar Association.
D.C. Bar rules state that an attorney can’t contact another attorney’s client without permission.
The witness Cheney tampered with changed her story
Hutchinson made up a story during her testimony to Pelosi’s sham committee that former President Donald Trump grabbed the wheel of the Presidential limo on January 6 in an attempt to drive it to the Capitol Building.
Multiple sources later confirmed that this was a fabrication.
Hutchinson became a hostile witness against Trump after she was contacted by Cheney.
Cheney wanted to make criminal referrals to the Justice Department for “anybody who attempted to influence witness testimony” in front of the January 6 Committee.
But she was secretly contacting a witness who would create a hoax against Trump.
“Now keep in mind [Hutchinson] had already testified two times and really didn’t give him anything, and I think they were searching for something else. And it was only after they fired Stefan Passantino and brought on the new attorney that all of these other sensational claims came out,” Loudermilk explained.
Hutchinson fired Passantino shortly after Cheney reached out to her on the messaging app.
She would later go on to write a book about her time in the Trump administration that was a hit with Democrats and became a regular on the MSNBC circuit.
Liz Cheney was willing to potentially break the law to try to get a witness that she could hurt Donald Trump to testify at her phony committee.
