Laura Ingraham Told James Carville to Join Republicans and the Socialist Who Just Won Michigan Proved She Was Right

Aug 9, 2026

James Carville spent 60 years building the Democrat Party.

Now the man who put Bill Clinton in the White House is threatening to walk out the door.

And the socialist streamer who wears Mao jackets just won a Senate primary in Michigan – which tells you everything about who's actually winning this fight.

Carville Said the Quiet Part Out Loud on Fox News

Carville sat down on Fox News Sunday and said what every sane Democrat privately believes but won't say on MSNBC: he wants nothing to do with Hasan Piker.

Piker is a Twitch streamer with roughly 10 million followers who famously said America deserved September 11 – then walked it back – and who showed up to campaign with Abdul El-Sayed at Michigan college campuses wearing an outfit styled after communist dictator Mao Zedong.

Carville didn't mince it: "I am not going to be in the same party with Hasan Piker. If he becomes a force in a Democratic Party, I'm out of here."

Laura Ingraham heard that and made Carville an offer Monday night on The Ingraham Angle.

"Instead of fighting with the type of people who watch The Ingraham Angle, Carville and other Democrats who oppose socialism should join our effort to turn the GOP into a party that is rebuilding the American middle class," she said. "Turn to us."

Michigan Just Answered the Question Nobody Wanted to Ask

While Ingraham was making her pitch, Michigan voters were settling the argument.

El-Sayed – the Piker-backed, DSA-aligned candidate who closed out his campaign at a Detroit pool party with Piker in attendance – won the Democratic Senate primary this morning.

He beat sitting congresswoman Haley Stevens, the establishment choice, to become the Democrat nominee for a Senate seat Republicans are counting on flipping.

Trump responded immediately on Truth Social: "El-Sayed, a communist loser who hates Jews and Israel, is the projected winner."

Trump endorsed Mike Rogers for the seat.

Republicans had privately rooted for El-Sayed to win the primary – and now they've got him.

This Isn't New York. This Is Michigan.

Socialists winning New York primaries is a weather report.

New York is going to do what New York does.

Michigan is different.

Michigan is a swing state that flipped to Trump in 2016, went to Biden in 2020, and has been a genuine battlefield every cycle.

Now Democrats are running a man who campaigned alongside someone who called America's worst terrorist attack a direct consequence of U.S. policy.

Carville called for a formal "schism" back in June after socialists swept three New York House primaries.

He went on his own podcast and said: "I actually do think it's time for Democrats to talk the S-word. Schism. I really do."

Nobody in the Democrat leadership listened.

They never do.

Warren Pays Attention to One in Ten Things Carville Says. Michigan Just Proved Which Nine She Ignored.

Elizabeth Warren was asked about Carville's warnings Monday and made clear she barely takes them seriously – telling reporters she pays attention to barely one in ten things he says.

That's the Democrat establishment's answer to their own strategist pulling the fire alarm.

Ignore him.

Keep marching Left.

Let Piker and Mamdani and AOC set the agenda and hope the general election voter doesn't notice.

Meanwhile Ingraham is the one extending a hand to Carville – not Warren, not Schumer, not a single Democrat in leadership.

The party Bill Clinton ran is now fielding DSA-backed candidates in purple states while the architect of Clinton's victories watches and asks Republicans if there's room.

Ingraham's answer was yes.

Michigan's answer was yes too – just not the one Democrats wanted.
