Keith Ellison Agrees To ICE Detainer Notifications
Homan announced Thursday he's working on a "drawdown plan" to reduce federal agents in Minnesota.
The plan depends entirely on Minnesota officials doing what they should have done all along – let ICE take custody of violent illegal aliens inside jails instead of releasing them to prey on communities.
"Give us access to the illegal alien public-safety threat behind bars where we can take them into custody safely," Homan said. "It's common sense. It's safer for the community, it's safer for the agent, and it's safer for the alien."
Homan met with Walz, Ellison, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and multiple police chiefs and sheriffs.
They all suddenly agreed on three things Homan listed: community safety matters, ICE is legitimate law enforcement, and federal agents deserve access to criminals in Minnesota jails.
Funny how two dead Americans made Democrats remember what "law and order" means.
The Trump administration isn't surrendering the immigration mission.
Homan made that crystal clear.
Federal agents stay in Minnesota "until the problem's gone."
But they'll operate smarter with cooperation instead of fighting sanctuary politicians who care more about illegal criminals than dead Americans.
Homan's staying in the Twin Cities personally leading operations until Minnesota officials prove this cooperation is real and lasting.
