Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election by nearly 3 million votes after spending 107 days unable to name a single policy difference with Joe Biden.
Now she's back – and she just proved she hasn't learned a thing.
On Friday she sat down with Don Lemon and said something so staggering that even her host couldn't keep a straight face.
She Invented a New Definition for a Word That Already Has One
Don Lemon asked Harris a simple question about hope.
What came back was three minutes of verbal fog that left America shaking its head.
"We each have light inside of us," Harris said. "And we need to know that that is what inspires our hope as much as anything external to ourselves."
She kept going.
"And when we feel that and and and not allow an election or an individual to dampen that light, and instead light, let that light kind of carry us in particular through moments of darkness, that, that we not only act on that hope, but we inspire that hope in each other," she added.

And then she landed on her grand conclusion.
"It is so important that we not only have hope, but that we understand that that should be a verb," she said.
The internet had a field day – and for good reason.
One user on X cut right through it: "Good word salad answer that can be summed up in two words: stay positive."
Another posted the actual dictionary definition: "It's a noun: 'I have hope that she never runs for any government office again.' And it is a verb: 'I hope she never runs for any government office again.'"
Hope has been both a noun and a verb in English for over a thousand years.
Kamala Harris didn't discover something – she fumbled toward a conclusion that every third-grader already knows.
This Is a Pattern, Not a Stumble
This is not one bad interview day.
This is who Kamala Harris is.
During the 2024 campaign, she delivered variations of "unburdened by what has been" dozens of times on the trail, as if repeating a vague phrase made it profound.
She told audiences "the significance of the passage of time" mattered – without ever explaining what she meant.
When her teleprompter went down at a Michigan rally with 32 days until the election, she stood at the podium repeating "32 days" over and over, visibly lost, looking side to side for rescue.

People inside her own party have been saying for years, some publicly, that she cannot communicate a clear message.
One Democrat lawmaker went on record after the election calling her language "weird and unfamiliar."
Even Jon Stewart and The Daily Show went after her for it by running a brutal supercut of her greatest hits.
That's when you know you've lost the room.
The difference in 2024 was that voters got to compare her style directly to a candidate with a simple, clear message.
Trump won every swing state.
She's Thinking About Running Again
Here's what should concern every American who lived through the last four years.
When Lemon asked Harris whether she plans to run for president again in 2028, she didn't say no.
"I have not decided, to be honest with you," she said – while making every move that signals she's running.
Back in April she told Al Sharpton at the National Action Network Convention "I might, I might. I'm thinking about it" – her most direct admission yet.
Her book tour keeps expanding into primary states.
She's polling at or near the top of most 2028 Democrat primary surveys, with strong support among Black voters.
The party's money people have real doubts she can win a general election – but she launched a PAC anyway and is already traveling the South to build support.
The woman who redefined hope as a verb wants to be president of the United States.

Think about that for a second.
The Democrats spent 2024 pretending the problem was Joe Biden's age – that if they just swapped him out, they'd win.
They swapped him out.
They lost.
Kamala Harris got more votes in 2024 than Hillary Clinton did in 2016 and still lost decisively because voters looked at her record – inflation, the border, four years of incoherence – and said no.
Nothing about that record has changed.
The word salad hasn't changed.
The gap between her lofty abstractions and actual answers voters can use hasn't changed.
If the Democrats want to run her again in 2028, conservatives should hope she runs – and the internet already agrees.
