Kamala Harris’ war against border security in the Senate haunting her
The border crisis is a political vulnerability that Vice President Kamala Harris inherited from President Joe Biden when she replaced him on the ticket.
Kamala served as his “Border Czar” while record-breaking numbers of illegal aliens poured into the country.
The Biden-Harris administration began dismantling border security on day one in office.
Now, she’s rebranding herself as the Democrat Presidential nominee as a candidate who wants to get tough on border security.
One of the first campaign ads she ran called her a “border state prosecutor” who “took on drug cartels and jailed gang members.”
Kamala pledged to hire thousands of more Border Patrol agents to fix the border in the ad.

She wants to gaslight voters into believing that she was never the “Border Czar,” but this is an administration that dismantled border security and had a long track record of supporting open borders.
Kamala Harris fought against hiring additional Border Patrol agents in the Senate
Kamala wants to talk tough on the border now that she’s running for President by hiring additional Border Patrol agents.
She fought tooth and nail against border security when she served in the Senate, including hiring more border agents.
Then-Senator Harris and Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letter in 2018 urging members of the Senate Appropriations Committee to reject funding for additional Border Patrol agents and former President Donald Trump’s border wall.
And the letter called for the budget of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be slashed.
“We urge the Committee additionally to reject President Trump’s proposal for funding to hire new Border Patrol personnel at this time,” the Democrat Senators wrote.
U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), who’s running for re-election this year in the swing state of Wisconsin, also signed the letter.
Kamala and the Democrat Senators begged their colleagues to “reject any funding for President Trump’s border wall.”
“We urge you to reduce funding for the administration’s reckless immigration enforcement operations that are tearing families apart and harming our economy,” the Senators added.
The Democrat Senators were angry that ICE was apprehending more illegal aliens under Trump.
“During Fiscal Year 2017, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrests of individuals without criminal convictions doubled compared to the prior year,” Harris, Baldwin, and others wrote. “During the last three months of 2017, ICE arrests of individuals who had no criminal background tripled compared to the same period the prior year.”
Kamala flipped-flopped on her deep-seated belief in open borders when she had to swing states in a Presidential election.
That’s why she’s avoided the press and interviews that could grill her on her convenient election year reversal.
Kamala Harris has no credibility about border security, but she’s hoping to fool voters in a short campaign.
