Ken Martin took over as DNC chair in February 2025 and made a public pledge – a 200-page autopsy of the 2024 election, based on over 300 interviews across all 50 states, would be released to the public.
He broke that promise in December.
His explanation was a masterpiece of Democratic doublespeak: releasing the report would be "a distraction from the core mission" of winning back Congress.
Translation – the truth was too damaging to survive contact with voters.

The RNC released a full public autopsy that named names, identified failures, and forced real changes in party infrastructure.
Democrats watched and learned – and apparently decided accountability was for losers.
What They're Hiding
Axios reported in February that Democratic officials who worked on the buried autopsy concluded that Biden's Gaza policy was a "net-negative" for Harris in 2024.
It cost her votes in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Pennsylvania – the exact states she needed to win.
Former Biden 2020 voters told pollsters their top issue in 2024 was ending Israel's actions in Gaza – more than the economy, inflation, or anything else.
The DNC knows this.
They commissioned the report.
They read the findings.
And then they decided you weren't allowed to see them.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is mulling a 2028 presidential run – and several Democrats have openly accused Martin of burying the report specifically to protect her from accountability.
"Several Democrats – including many advising possible 2028 presidential candidates – said burying the report unfairly helps former Vice President Harris if she runs again," Axios reported.
Jeff Weaver, Bernie Sanders' 2016 and 2020 campaign manager, put it more bluntly: "Kamala Harris certainly benefits from not having an open discussion" about the 2024 campaign.
The Party Is Broke and Getting Broker
Here's the part Martin doesn't want to talk about.
The DNC isn't just hiding an embarrassing report.
They're doing it while getting financially destroyed by the RNC.
As of March, the Republican National Committee had $116 million in cash on hand.
The DNC had $13.8 million – and was carrying $18 million in debt.
That's not a fundraising gap.
That's a financial emergency.
The RNC outraised the DNC $21.2 million to $11.4 million in the first quarter of 2026 alone.
Martin's response?
"The real question is this: Do we have the money to compete? Yes, we do."
The same man who buried the autopsy, promised to release it, buried it again, and now claims there's "no smoking gun" – that man is telling you not to worry about the cash.

Former Obama advisor Dan Pfeiffer called the decision to hide it "a very bad decision that reeks of the caution and complacency that brought us to this moment."
Jon Favreau, who co-hosts the most popular Democratic podcast in the country, grilled Martin to his face on Pod Save America and couldn't get a straight answer.
Martin's explanation to Favreau: "We've been releasing that. The reality is we're not hiding the ball on this."

A Party That Won't Face the Mirror
A source close to the DNC told Fox News Digital that with pressure mounting, "they are going to be forced to release something."
Not the full report.
Not the truth.
Something.
Their party chairman broke a public promise, spiked the post-mortem, and is now getting outraised nearly two-to-one with six months until the midterms.
And their solution is to release "something" when the pressure gets bad enough.
