Kamala Harris’ handlers panicked over what happened in this Fox News interview

Kamala Harris’ handlers knew they needed a roll of the dice to shake up the 2024 election.

But after agreeing to an interview with Fox News, they instantly knew they made a mistake.

And Kamala Harris’ handlers panicked over what happened in this Fox News interview.

Kamala Harris’ handlers frantically try to end Fox News interview early

Kamala Harris agreed to an interview with Fox News Special Report host Bret Baier.

Appearing on Fox News was the latest iteration of Kamala Harris’ constantly evolving media strategy.

Kamala Harris’ handlers scheduling a series of softball interviews on The View, with Howard Stern, the Call Her Daddy podcast and late-night comedian Stephen Colbert failed to move the needle.

In fact, Kamala Harris’ numbers got worse as polls from ABC and NBC found Donald Trump surging four and five points, respectively, after Americans saw Kamala Harris botched these friendly chats by being unable to say how she would be different from Joe Biden.

The Fox News interview was a chance for Kamala Harris to sit for an adversarial interview and hold up under tough questioning.

But Kamala Harris’ handlers quickly realized their candidate was out of her depth.

Bret Baier told Fox News viewers after the interview that Kamala Harris’ handlers acted as boxing trainers knowing their fighter was getting pummeled and threw in the towel to stop the fight.

“You know, I’m talking like four people waving their hands like, ‘it’s gotta stop!’” Baier revealed on Special Report’s post-interview coverage.

“I had to dismount there at the end,” Baier added. “There are so many things, and she maybe should do more of these.”

Baier also told viewers that Kamala Harris’ handlers played hokey pokey before the interview because they were either having second thoughts or wanted the interview to go on shorter than the agreed upon 30 minutes.

“We were supposed to start at 5 P.M. and we — this was the time they gave us,” Baier added. “Originally we were going to do 25 or 30 minutes. They came in and said maybe 20. So it was already getting whittled down. And then the Vice President showed up about 5:15. We were pushing the envelope to be able to turn it around.”

Kamala’s major gaffe

Conservative pundit Erick Erickson wrote that the interview was a failure because Kamala missed the mark of trying to reassure Trump-weary center-right voters that she wouldn’t govern as a radical leftist.

“Ultimately, this interview failed to accomplish what she needed despite her okay performance. Kamala Harris is simply not capable of giving a rational, coherent answer for why her positions have changed since 2020. These non-Trump voters are not progressives, and they did not walk away from that Fox News interview thinking Harris really has moved to the center,” Erickson wrote.

Erickson pointed to an exchange with Baier as the most damaging, where Kamala claimed an amnesty bill would fix the immigration crisis and refused to pivot away from the open borders policies of the last four years.
