The media spent two years insisting Caitlin Clark's fame was just hype – then she sold out every arena in the country.
Now they're running the same play on Kai Trump.
Kai Trump just walked into the University of Miami as the highest-valued female college golfer in America, and the left-wing sports media have no idea what to do with that.
A $2.25 Million Name Before She Hits Her First Collegiate Shot
The Golf NIL valuation rankings put Kai Trump, 19-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump, at $2.25 million – the highest figure among all women's collegiate golfers in the country.
She hasn't played a single NCAA round yet.
For comparison, Arch Manning – nephew of Peyton and Eli, quarterback at the University of Texas – held a $5.4 million valuation as of March 2026, the top figure among all college athletes.
Kai is right behind him.
Her portfolio already looks like a seasoned professional's.

TaylorMade Golf. Accelerator Active Energy, where she launched her own Blue Raz Slush flavor that sold out in record time.
Leaf Trading Cards, which put out a Kai Trump Autograph Pack at $199.99 a pack.
Her own KT-monogrammed apparel line.
She's also sitting on more than 8 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
That's not an influencer.
That's a brand.
She Can Actually Play
Here's what the media won't tell you: Kai Trump earned her spot at Miami.
She carries a competitive handicap of +0.5 at Trump International Palm Beach – meaning she consistently shoots better than par.
On the junior circuit, she posted runner-up finishes at the 2025 Major Championship at Village Golf Course and the 2024 Martin County Junior Open, placed third at Lost City Golf Club, and collected multiple top-10 results on the AJGA and South Florida PGA circuits.
The Hurricanes – currently ranked 70th nationally – didn't recruit a celebrity.
They recruited a proven competitor who happens to carry one of the most recognizable names in the world.
Compare that to Charlie Woods, son of Tiger Woods, who sits at $3 million in NIL valuation.
In his most recent ranked event, Charlie placed second-to-last – 31 shots behind the winner.
Kai isn't coasting on a last name.
She's backing it up.
The Left Can't Stand It
Bill Carter, founder of the NIL Forum, put it plainly: "If she continues to build her own identity as a student athlete and a golfer at Miami, and continues to have success in the sport, she has a greater opportunity to build a larger audience."
That's the framework the left refuses to accept.
They spent years insisting NIL would democratize college athletics – that any kid with talent could finally get paid what they're worth.
But the moment a Trump does exactly that, suddenly the rules change. Suddenly it's all about the last name.

Suddenly it's illegitimate.
What they can't process is simple: Kai Trump is doing exactly what Bronny James, Arch Manning, and Shedeur Sanders did – leveraging a famous family name while building real skills and a real following on her own terms.
The NIL system worked perfectly.
And the fact that her grandfather happens to be the most powerful man in the world makes the left absolutely furious.
Miami just got the most valuable freshman in women's collegiate golf.
The 2026-27 season starts in the fall.
The media meltdown starts right after her first cut.
