U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) highlighted a disturbing new trend in human smuggling on social media.
“Under Border Czar Kamala Harris’s watch, smugglers are drugging children while sneaking them across the border,” Kennedy wrote on X. “Her inhumane open border is a danger to Americans and migrants alike.”

Human traffickers are taking the children of illegal aliens and trying to drive through border crossings while the kids are knocked out with drugs.
They hope that Border Patrol agents wave them through when they’re questioned about their relationship and the child won’t wake up.
Border Patrol agents are required to verify the relationships of everyone in a vehicle trying to cross the border.
Kids are being force-fed sleeping pills, cold medicine, and melatonin to make them unconscious for the journey.
Irving Alberto tried to drive through the Otay Mesa border crossing in San Diego, California, with a young girl in the back of his car.
He couldn’t show a birth certificate or produce any photos of the girl to the Border Patrol agents who were questioning him.
The girl – who was drugged on cold medicine – eventually told agents that Alberto wasn’t her dad when they managed to shake her awake.
Incidents like this are playing out every day on the southern border.
Center for Immigration Studies Policy Director Jessica Vaughan told the Washington Times that children have become another commodity in the human trafficking industry.
“These smugglers care nothing about the kids,” Vaughan said. “They’re just a commodity that they are making money off of. If something goes wrong, things could turn ugly for the kids.”
Illegal aliens are coming to the United States first to get jobs and find places to live before bringing their children.
During the Biden-Harris administration, the number of unaccompanied alien children arriving at the southern border has surged.
The human traffickers that parents pay to smuggle their kids across the border can abuse them, sell them off to sex trafficking rings, or cause them to overdose drugs designed to make them fall asleep.
