Joe Biden appeared on the debate stage as every bit the visibly infirmed 81-year-old man Republicans warned that he was.
Panic swept across the Democrat party.
And John Fetterman said two words about Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 race.
Post-debate polls show a shift to Trump
Snap polls after the debate by CNN and the Daily Mail showed 67 and 68 percent of people judging Donald Trump the winner of the debate.
It was only a matter of time until the horse race polling followed.
The first poll out of the gate was a New York Post survey showing that in the wake of Joe Biden’s historically awful debate performance, the race swung nine points in Trump’s favor.

Democrats feared this would be the case, which is why on the CNN and MSNBC post-debate coverage, both networks liberal analysts sounded the alarm and openly speculated about dumping Biden from the ticket.
But that’s easier said than done.
Biden controls more than 90 percent of the delegates heading into August’s Democratic National Convention.
And there is no mechanism by which the party can strip him of those delegates or allow them to vote for another candidate.
Joe Biden will be the Democrat Party nominee if he wants it.
John Fetterman joins the debate
Since the party lacks the official levers of power to remove Biden from the top of the ticket, the media jumped in to launch a pressure campaign to force Biden out.
Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) reacted angrily to these attacks on Biden.
Fetterman slammed a POLITICO story about Democrats looking for an alternative after the debate to how his debate with Dr. Oz went rather poorly following his stroke that nearly killed him.
“I refuse to join the Democratic vultures on Biden’s shoulder after the debate. No one knows more than me that a rough debate is not the sum total of the person and their record,” Fetterman posted on X.
Fetterman said in the wake of the debate election forecasters left him for dead, but he came back and won by five points.
“Morning-after thermonuclear beat downs from my race from the debate and polling geniuses like 538 predicted l’d lose by 2. And what happened? The only seat to flip and won by a historic margin (+5). Chill the f*** out,” Fetterman added.
But The New York Times went even further and became the first liberal media outlet to demand Biden drop out of the race.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the New Yorker and The Atlantic soon followed suit.
John Fetterman had a simple, two word response for The Times.
“F*** that.”
This illustrates the trouble Democrats find themselves in.
Biden is clearly incapacitated.
But he’s sitting President with a deep reservoir of support in the Democrat Party.
