Joe Scarborough Screamed at Democrats on Live TV and Nobody Listened

Aug 13, 2026

Hasan Piker looked America in the eye and said it didn’t matter to him whether Hamas killed women on October 7.

Now the Democrat he campaigned for just won Michigan’s Senate primary – and Scarborough is losing his mind watching his party shrug.

Joe Scarborough – the man who has spent years melting down on MSNBC about Donald Trump – went on national television Monday and screamed at Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries to grow a spine before Democrats fumble 2026 the exact same way they fumbled 2024.

When Joe Scarborough Is the Voice of Reason Your Party Is Gone

Scarborough raised his voice, at times shouting, calling out Democrats for being “too woke to call out the obvious.”

The trigger was Abdul El-Sayed’s narrow Michigan Senate primary win over establishment-backed Rep. Haley Stevens – a race where Piker campaigned with El-Sayed, appeared at a Detroit pool party the night before the primary, and showed up in ads Republicans are already cutting for the general.

“If somebody says a woman being ra**d doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, it’s OK to call that person out and demand that candidates distance themselves from those people!” Scarborough shouted.

Schumer and Jeffries have said nothing.

El-Sayed’s response was textbook evasion: “Of course I oppose ra*e. Of course I don’t think 9/11 was justified. Just because you appear with somebody doesn’t mean you agree with them on everything.”

He still hasn’t cut ties.

The Two Fingers That Should End El-Sayed’s General Election

This isn’t complicated.

After October 7, Piker didn’t just hedge. He told his millions of Twitch followers: “It doesn’t matter if rapes happened on October 7th – that doesn’t change the dynamic for me.” Then he held two fingers close together to show exactly how little it moved his analysis.

That wasn’t a clip taken out of context.

Piker doubled down when CNN’s Dana Bash confronted him about it.

This is the same man who told his audience in 2019 that “America deserved 9/11” – a comment he later called “inappropriate” without ever actually apologizing for the sentiment.

El-Sayed won a Democrat Senate primary with this man’s face on his campaign.

Why Michigan Is the Democrats’ Worst Nightmare

He’ll square off against Republican Mike Rogers for the seat held by retiring Sen. Gary Peters – in a state Donald Trump won narrowly in 2024.

The RNC is already working the Piker connection as a general election weapon.

RNC national spokesperson Natalie Baldassarre put it plainly: “El-Sayed is a terrorist sympathizer and an America-hating socialist. His refusal to distance himself from Hamas-hugging radicals like Hasan Piker reaffirms his true allegiance is to terrorist groups, not America.”

Even Sen. John Fetterman – a Democrat – is daring El-Sayed to keep the Piker alliance once he has to appeal beyond primary voters.

“I dare you to continue to campaign with people like Hasan Piker because he now will quickly find out it’s easy to campaign in the echo chamber as a Democrat,” Fetterman told Fox News Digital.

El-Sayed’s Michigan win isn’t a standalone event. It’s the latest in a wave of socialist primary victories reshaping the Democrat Party – DSA-backed candidates have knocked off incumbents in New York, Colorado, Missouri, and now Michigan in a pattern Fox News Digital has tracked across 27 progressive primary wins this cycle.

The Democrats Already Tried This

Scarborough said it himself: “We’re bringing this up now because it seems an awful lot like what was happening in 2024 when Democrats couldn’t get out of their own way to win an election they should have won.”

He’s right.

Democrats lost 2024 in part because they refused to separate themselves from positions that mainstream voters found extreme.

They had months of warning on the border, on crime, on rhetoric that normal people found alarming.

Party leaders said nothing until it was too late.

Now Schumer and Jeffries are watching that same streamer’s candidate celebrate a Senate primary win at a Detroit pool party – and doing it again.

Michigan is a swing state.

El-Sayed needs independents and soft Republicans to beat Mike Rogers.

Those voters are going to see the Piker clips.

They’re going to see El-Sayed’s refusal to cut ties.

And they’re going to make a decision.

Scarborough was screaming on Monday because he knows what comes next.

Mike Rogers does too.
