JD Vance hit Jasmine Crockett with one nasty surprise she never saw coming

Dec 26, 2025

Jasmine Crockett made a career out of throwing cheap shots at conservatives.

Now she's getting a taste of her own medicine.

And JD Vance hit Jasmine Crockett with one nasty surprise she never saw coming.

Vice President Vance brings the house down at AmericaFest

Vice President JD Vance delivered a barn-burner speech at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest conference in Phoenix on Sunday.

The first AmericaFest since Charlie Kirk's assassination in September carried special meaning for Vance, who credited Kirk with helping launch his political career.

"If it weren't for Charlie Kirk, I would not be the Vice President of the United States," Vance told the crowd during the memorial edition of The Charlie Kirk Show just days after the tragedy.¹

But Sunday's speech wasn't all somber reflection.

Vance ripped into the Democrat Party's weakest candidates heading into 2026, saving his best shot for last.

When he got to Jasmine Crockett, the crowd erupted.

"Jasmine Crockett!" Vance exclaimed. "Oh, Jasmine Crockett, the record speaks for itself. She wants to be a senator, though her street-girl persona is about as real as her nails!"²

The venue packed wall-to-wall with young conservatives exploded in thunderous applause.

Crockett just announced her longshot Senate bid to challenge Republican Senator John Cornyn in deep-red Texas.

Crockett's phony act gets exposed

Vance wasn't making this up out of thin air.

Even liberal media commentator Stephen A. Smith called out Crockett last October for "engaging in verbiage and rhetoric for the streets" that doesn't serve her constituents.³

Smith specifically cited her calling Republican Governor Greg Abbott "Governor Hot Wheels" — mocking the wheelchair-bound governor who was paralyzed in 1984 when a tree fell on him.⁴

Crockett made the disgusting remark at a Human Rights Campaign dinner in March.

"Y'all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, come on now!" Crockett told the LGBTQ crowd in Los Angeles. "And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot-ass mess, honey!"⁵

She later claimed the nickname referred to Abbott's migrant busing policy, not his disability.

But that excuse fell apart when social media users found Crockett had "liked" Facebook comments calling Abbott "hot wheels" back in 2021 — a full year before the busing program even started.⁶

That's the kind of fake authenticity Vance called out.

Crockett rose to national prominence by playing the angry street-fighter persona on cable news and social media.

She's called President Trump a "piece of sh*t" and "wannabe Hitler."⁷

But behind the act is a well-educated lawyer who clerked for a federal judge and worked at a major law firm before entering politics.

Nothing wrong with success and education.

But pretending to be something you're not to score political points? That's exactly what Vance exposed.

The phony persona backfires

Crockett immediately played the race card after Vance's comments.

"I have been a Black woman my entire life," Crockett whined during an interview on MS NOW. "I promise you, there are other people just like JD Vance, who have tried to do the same racist tropes my entire life, and somehow I ascended and became a U.S. congresswoman."⁸

Classic move — when you can't defend your record or your behavior, scream racism.

But calling out someone's phony act isn't racist.

It's holding a politician accountable for putting on a fake persona to manipulate voters.

Crockett also fired back on social media, attacking Vance for only getting his job because Trump supposedly "incited a violent mob who wanted to hang your predecessor."⁹

That tired January 6 narrative again.

Crockett submitted paperwork for the Senate race just hours before Texas's December 8 filing deadline.

She's leading the Democrat primary with 51% support over state Representative James Talarico's 43%.¹⁰

But winning a statewide race in Texas is a different ballgame.

Texas hasn't elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate since 1988, and Trump just cruised to a double-digit victory there in 2024.¹¹

Republican primary voters get to choose between Senator Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton, with Paxton currently leading 29% to 24%.¹²

Either one would be heavily favored in November.

Crockett can play to the Democrat base with her phony street persona all she wants.

But Vance just showed what happens when someone finally calls her on it.

And Texas voters aren't buying what she's selling.
