Democrats are picking up the pieces after a crushing defeat in the 2024 Election.
What they’re learning about their loss is even worse than they imagined.
And James Carville sounded the alarm on this bad problem that will crush Democrats.
James Carville warned Democrats have a big problem with male voters
Veteran Democrat strategist James Carville saw the problem his party faced with male voters coming from a mile away.
He told The New York Times in a March interview that Democrats were being led by “preachy females” who were driving men away from the party.
“A suspicion of mine is that there are too many preachy females,” Carville told The Times. “‘Don’t drink beer. Don’t watch football. Don’t eat hamburgers. This is not good for you.’ The message is too feminine: ‘Everything you’re doing is destroying the planet. You’ve got to eat your peas.’”
“If you listen to Democratic elites — NPR is my go-to place for that — the whole talk is about how women, and women of color, are going to decide this election,” Carville continued. “I’m like: ‘Well, 48 percent of the people that vote are males. Do you mind if they have some consideration?’”
Vice President Kamala Harris faced a historic gender gap in the election as male voters flocked to President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump made major gains with black men, Hispanic men, and men aged 18-29 from his performance in the 2020 Election.
Democrats have a big problem with men moving forward
Carville admitted that it was a “very troubling election” for Democrats during an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
Host Joe Scarborough asked him what some of the troubling aspects of the election were.
“Back in March, I said that I thought Democratic campaign culture had ‘too many preachy females.’ Well, they all had a conniption,” Carville declared. “Have you looked at the male vote that we got in November?”
The Democrat strategist said that his party hasn’t come to grips with what cost them the election.
“You know, no one since November has come up and said a thing to me,” Carville said. “Primarily, we have a large problem with males, and I’m not just talking about white males like you and I. I’m talking about males all across, and we need to address that. And we don’t need to be shouted down by Washington liberal advocacy groups or NPR.”
Carville warned that Democrats wouldn’t be able to ignore this problem.
“We got to say we got a male problem and we need to get to work on it. And I think we can . . . we lost a lot of ground with males and we don’t need to sweep these things under the rug,” Carville stated. “We need to expose them and talk about them and discuss them.”
Carville appears to be on an island in admitting that Democrats have a problem with male voters.
The instinct of the party is to blame racism and sexism for why Kamala lost the election.
Democrats have become so infected with wokeness that they may continue to push male voters away from the party.
