James Carville was "certain" Kamala Harris would beat Donald Trump in 2024.
Now he's back with a new prediction – and he wants you to forget he ever said that.
This time Carville is warning Trump to brace for November because it's going to feel like getting "punched in the mouth by Mike Tyson."
Carville's 2026 Midterm Prediction Comes From the Man Who Said Harris Would Win
In a video posted to the Politicon YouTube channel, the 81-year-old Clinton strategist addressed Trump directly, telling him his advisers are going to "start breaking the news to you, kind of gently."
After that, Carville said, Trump will "wonder what it feels like to be punched in the mouth by Mike Tyson."
He didn't stop there.
Carville predicted that Democrats would take back the House and Senate in November before launching investigations into Trump, his kids, and their spouses.
He said Republican senators "can't stand" Trump and will eventually turn on him.

He predicted The Hague would indict Trump for war crimes over Iran.
He predicted Trump resigns and JD Vance pardons him.
And when all of this happens, Carville said, nobody will return Trump's calls.
That's quite a lot of predicting from a man who wrote a New York Times op-ed in October 2024 titled "Three Reasons I'm Certain Kamala Harris Will Win" – and watched Trump sweep all seven swing states three weeks later.
Carville Admitted He Was Wrong About 2024 Then Started Predicting Again
On CNN after the loss, Carville called it "very depressing."
He told Fox News Digital he assumed Harris' money advantage and superior ground game would be worth "a point and a half" over Trump.
It was not.
He told U.S. News he "shouldn't predict elections."
Then he predicted elections again.
Since January 2026, Carville has predicted Democrats pick up "at a minimum" 25 House seats – maybe as high as 45.
He has predicted Democrats take the Senate "with ease" and reach a 55-seat majority.
He has now predicted Trump resigns before his term ends.
The Carville method is simple: make the largest possible claim, call it certain, and move on when it's wrong.
What the 2026 Midterms Actually Require From Republicans
Here's the only thing conservatives need to know about the 2026 midterms.
Democrats may have a real shot at the House – which means Republicans need to fight like it, not take political advice from the man who bet his career on Kamala Harris.
Every Democrat in Congress voted against the One Big Beautiful Bill.
They rejected tax relief for working families.

They voted to let illegal immigrants access your taxpayer-funded healthcare.
Republicans have a closing argument that wins – if they use it.
What they don't need is James Carville, who spent 34 years living off one good prediction in 1992, telling them what November is going to feel like.
He's not a forecaster.
He's a cheerleader who stumbled into a good call before most of his current audience was watching the news, and has been cashing that check ever since.
When Carville says Trump is about to feel like Mike Tyson hit him, he's not analyzing the electorate.
He's doing what he always does – making Democrats feel good, driving clicks, and hoping nobody pulls up October 2024.
Somebody should pull up October 2024.
They've Already Got Their Excuse Ready
Pelosi spent Tuesday warning voters that Republicans will "manipulate voting machines" to "create a false count" – so be "on guard."
That's the Democratic backup plan for every election they lose.
When Carville's prediction falls short in November, they'll have an explanation ready that doesn't involve Carville being wrong again.
These are the people promising Trump is finished.
The same people who were certain.
