J.D. Vance had one response to Trump asking him to be Vice President

Ohio Senator J.D. Vance is on the short list to be Donald Trump’s running mate.

The selection process is moving into the end game.

And J.D. Vance had one response to Trump asking him to be Vice President.

J.D. Vance responds to questions about being Vice President

Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) won election in Ohio as the first unabashed member of the MAGA movement.

The 39-year-old Vance opposed RINO Mitch McConnell as Republican Senate Minority Leader.

And since taking office, Vance led the fight for the America First agenda by opposing foreign aid to Ukraine and Joe Biden’s open borders.

Vance was also one of the ringleaders of a letter signed by other Senate conservatives pledging to grind the confirmation process for Joe Biden’s nominees to a halt in protest of Biden weaponizing the justice system to target Donald Trump.

If Donald Trump wants a Vice President who will remain loyal to his agenda and fight the Democrats, media, and the Deep State in a second term, then Vance would be the top choice.

Fox News Special Report host Bret Baier asked Vance about his Vice-Presidential prospects.

“Could you imagine yourself behind the Resolute desk as president?” Baier wondered.

Vance responded that it was totally up to Donald Trump.

“Well, look, Bret, I think that’s ultimately — that’s Donald Trump’s choice, whether he selects me as vice president,” Vance answered.

Vance told Baier that the United States needed to make major changes to unrig a system that liberal elites set up for their own benefit.

“My attitude is there is a lot that needs to happen in the United States Senate. I like being a senator, Bret. The President has not asked me. But if he does, I’d certainly let you know,” Vance replied.

J.D. Vance says he is ready to be President

Baier moved on to the question that every Vice President needs to answer.

“Yeah, I mean, to just say, are you ready to be President on day one?” Baier followed up.

“That’s the biggest job for a Vice-Presidential pick, right? Could you be comfortable being President?” Baier wondered.

Vance responded in the affirmative but still maintained his humility about the task before anyone who accepts the role of Vice President.

“Look, Bret, I’ve seen a lot of people operate in politics, and I feel very comfortable with the fact that I could do the job,” Vance responded.

“But, look, you have to have some humility going into this, too. It’s a massive, massive job for anybody to undertake,” Vance added.

Vance said he was happy with being a Senator but would accept an offer to join the ticket as the Vice-Presidential nominee.

“I’m not auditioning for the job. I asked the people of Ohio to elect me to be a United States Senator. But, certainly, look, if Trump picks up the phone and calls you, the first sort of thought you have to have with yourself is, not just, could I be vice president, but could I stand ultimately in the big chair? And, look, if he asks me, I’ll think about it, but I think the answer is yes,” Vance admitted.

Vance told Baier the fact that Trump was an outsider and that he had been in office just two years worked in their favor.

“Frankly, we’ve had way too many political insiders, Bret, who have done a very terrible job of governing this country,” Vance argued.

Vance hits Biden on his age and health

Vance also drew a subtle but important distinction between Trump and Joe Biden by saying Trump is in good health and would serve as President for four years.

“Some of them have had a lot of political experience. Some of them have had no political experience. And the final point I’ll say about that, Bret, is I know Trump very well. I like him. He’s in very good health. And so I think whoever he selects as vice president is going to have a real opportunity to be a very good vice president for the country for the next four years. And there are a lot of good people who could serve that job.”

Joe Biden will be 86 at the end of his second term.

Given his condition, a vote for Biden is likely a vote to put Kamala Harris as President at some point over the next four years.

Vance is telling voters they don’t have any such worries if they re-elect Donald Trump.
