The Presidential election will go down as one of the most important in the country’s history.
But it could be more consequential than anyone realized at the time.
And J.D. Vance got one scary message about the election that he never saw coming.
Elon Musk warned fellow Big Tech mogul about the stakes of the 2024 Election
Tesla CEO Elon Musk became one of the biggest players in the 2024 Election when he endorsed President-elect Donald Trump after he was shot at a campaign rally on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Musk warned that everything was on the line this election.
A victory by Vice President Kamala Harris would have been a blow that the country couldn’t have recovered from.
PayPal founder Peter Thiel was a mentor and business partner to Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.
He poured $15 million into the Protect Ohio Values super PAC that helped Vance win a contested Ohio Republican Senate Primary and general election in 2022.
The PayPal founder kept a low profile during the 2024 Election, but he revealed he believed it was a turning point in American history during an interview on the Honestly podcast with the Free Press’ Bari Weiss.
Thiel said that the 2024 Election would determine if Trump’s win in 2016 was a fluke against the system or if President Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 Election was a one-off event.
“2020 was the fluke. I think the Hollywood movie term is retcon – retroactive continuity. Like if a popular character dies in an avalanche, but people want him back somehow they find a way for him to survive and bring him back, so we have to tell a story of what happened in the last eight years,” Thiel explained.
“If Harris had won, the story would be that 2016 was a fluke, we paid for it, and liberalism is basically fine and we can go back to the somewhat braindead but comfortable Obama consensus,” Thiel continued. “It seems to me the straightforward retroactively continuous story is that 2020 was the fluke. It was one last time where this ancient regime, with an ancient President, could dotter over the finish line one last time.”
Musk was convinced that a victory by Kamala in the 2024 Election would put the country on a path to one-party rule by Democrats.
Donald Trump beat the machine to become President
Thiel admitted that he didn’t want to believe Musk when he told him that so much was on the line in this election.
“The sense in which I felt that he was correct was if Trump, with much better substance, much better on so many things, could not win in 2024 against the machine, then the machine would always win,” Thiel explained. “And if the machine always wins, then you no longer have a democracy. You certainly no longer have a democratic process within the Democratic Party.”
“If the machine could defeat Trump, I thought it was reasonable that it would gain even more power and somehow be unbeatable, and the country would become like California, a one-party state,” Thiel added.
Donald Trump was able to defeat the media, Kamala, and the entire system aligned against him to win the election.
