Vice President Kamala Harris had to reinvent herself politically to become palatable to swing state voters.
She was rated as the most left-wing member of the Senate in 2019 based on her voting record by non-partisan GovTrack.
And Kamala competed in the far Left lane of the 2020 Democrat Presidential Primary with U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
After Biden was deposed, Kamala’s campaign has been issuing anonymous statements backtracking from her previously held far left-wing positions, like banning fracking and abolishing ICE.
Kamala sat down for her first interview nearly 40 days after entering the race with CNN’s Dana Bash.
She tried to explain her numerous flip-flops during her pre-recorded interview.
“I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed,” Kamala said. “You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed, and I have worked on it, that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time. We did that with the Inflation Reduction Act.”
She admitted that the Inflation Reduction Act was about Green New Deal policies.
Her values haven’t changed from when she thought decriminalizing illegal border crossing was a good policy in 2019.
J.D. Vance shreds Kamala for her claiming her values haven’t changed
U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) responded to Kamala’s first interview of the campaign on Fox & Friends.
He called out Kamala for claiming her values didn’t change.
“It’s pretty bizarre, right? So if you have the same values why have you changed your mind on literally every topic that you previously held an opinion on?” Vance wondered. “But I think it’s important for us not to buy this. If you look at the way Kamala Harris has governed, she’s actually governed as a far-left person.”
Vance pointed out this was an empty election year promise to get votes.
“She’s just trying to pretend that she’s not far Left now because, of course, she wants to win the American people’s votes over the next couple of months,” Vance explained. “But if she does, she’s going to do the same thing that she’s been doing for the last few years.”
The Republican Vice Presidential nominee warned that Kamala would be a continuation of all the failed policies of the current Biden-Harris administration.
“It’s really absurd for Kamala Harris to sit there and say, ‘Well, I don’t actually believe in any of the things that I told you I believed three years ago.’ She has governed as a person who believes those things, and unfortunately, the American people are far off because of it,” Vance said.
Kamala Harris has avoided interviews because she doesn’t want to talk about her record.
She wants this election to be about vibes and good feelings instead of a serious policy discussion.
The media is all too happy to help her whitewash her political past.
