Ilhan Omar just declared victory over ICE on Facebook.
Meanwhile, federal investigators are circling her over a fraud scandal that swallowed $250 million from her own district.
And Ilhan Omar has no idea how badly this video is going to age.
What Omar Actually Said
The video is exactly what you'd expect.
Omar settled into a chair, dramatic music playing in the background, and let the text overlay do the work: "Me preparing for the documentary on how we defeated ICE's racist terror campaign in Minnesota."
She captioned it "We're built different in Minnesota" with a flexed muscle emoji.
It landed like a lead balloon.
"I'm waiting for the documentary she does behind bars," one commenter wrote on X – a reference to the federal investigation circling Omar over her finances and ties to Minnesota's social services fraud.
"Or is it a fraud documentary?" another asked.

"'Defeated'?" a third charged on Facebook. "I think we have different definitions of that word."
What Actually Happened During Operation Metro Surge
The Trump administration launched Operation Metro Surge in December 2025 – the largest immigration enforcement operation in the country's history, deploying 3,000 agents to the Twin Cities.
Over 4,000 illegal immigrants were arrested.
Fourteen had homicide convictions.
One hundred thirty-nine had assault convictions.
Eighty-seven had committed sex offenses.
Twenty-eight were confirmed gang members.
At the height of the surge, agents were arresting more than 100 people per day.
By February 12, Border Czar Tom Homan announced the operation was concluding – not because Democrats stopped it, but because it had achieved its goals.
"As a result of our efforts here, Minnesota is now less of a sanctuary state for criminals," Homan said at a press conference in Minneapolis.

Karoline Leavitt put it directly: "President Trump's commonsense immigration enforcement policies are delivering the public safety results the American people demanded, with more than 4,000 dangerous criminal illegal aliens already arrested in Minnesota since Operation Metro began."
That's not a defeat.
That's a mission accomplished.
The Fraud Investigation Omar Isn't Making Videos About
She's currently under DOJ investigation for immigration fraud and financial ties to family members – announced personally by Vice President JD Vance.
Her net worth mysteriously jumped from a normal congressional salary to somewhere between $6 million and $30 million – a roughly 3,500% increase in about a year.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer launched his own investigation and made a referral to the House Ethics Committee.
Minnesota state lawmakers subpoenaed her over ties to the "Feeding Our Future" scandal – a $250 million fraud scheme that siphoned money from children's nutrition programs into luxury hotels and overseas accounts.
Omar skipped the hearing and missed the document deadline entirely.

She ghosted the investigators.
Trump's ICE went into Minnesota, arrested 4,000 dangerous criminals, and left the state safer than they found it – and Omar is on Facebook pretending she stopped them.
The DOJ investigation isn't going anywhere.
James Comer isn't going anywhere.
The only documentary Omar should be preparing for is the one where she has to answer for where all that money went.
