Ilhan Omar Got Caught Living It Up at the Ritz While Her Constituents Struggle

Jul 20, 2026

AOC already got exposed doing it.

Now Ilhan Omar is the one sipping cocktails on donor money 2,000 miles from the people who elected her.

Fox News just pulled her FEC filings – and the Ritz-Carlton charge alone will make your blood boil.

The Ritz-Carlton, the Chauffeur, and the Hollywood Rooftop

Between April and June, Omar's campaign burned through nearly $6,500 at luxury hotels and a private chauffeur service – none of it anywhere near Minneapolis.

The tab included $682 at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs – spa, adults-only pool, dedicated concierge.

There was $926 at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs – a desert boutique with two pools, a nightclub, a stargazing deck, and rooms outfitted with vinyl turntables and organic mattresses.

The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood ran another $1,613, with a rooftop pool overlooking everything from the Hollywood Sign to downtown Los Angeles.

Then $2,131 at W New York in Times Square – panoramic city views, DJ sets at the cocktail bar, in-room dining.

On top of all that, $1,143 to Blacklane – the private chauffeur service running Mercedes, BMWs, Audis, and Cadillacs.

Omar's campaign has spent over $5,000 on Blacklane alone since she joined Congress.

Total travel expenses for one quarter: more than $28,000.

Food, beverages, and catering? Another $23,000.

Who Actually Paid for the Ritz-Carlton

The people who wrote checks to Ilhan Omar's campaign believed they were funding a fighter for the working class.

They funded a Palm Springs spa weekend instead.

Omar's Minneapolis district carries a poverty rate above the national average – 13.5% of her constituents live below the poverty line.

These are not people who expense the adults-only pool.

The RNC's national press secretary Natalie Baldassarre didn't mince words: "Ilhan Omar is just another champagne socialist who wines and dines at luxury resorts while supporting policies that would make her constituents live in squalor."

The Squad Figured Out the Perfect Scam

This is what the Squad does – Omar is just the latest caught doing it.

AOC spent more than $53,000 in campaign cash on luxury hotels in 2025 alone, including charges tied to a Puerto Rico trip during which she was photographed in a suite at a Bad Bunny concert – all while lecturing New Yorkers about gentrification.

Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, another self-described socialist, got exposed when his tax returns showed he pulled in $686,069 in 2025 – nearly ten times Michigan's median household income.

There's also the small matter of Omar's other financial questions.

Her campaign previously paid millions to husband Tim Mynett's consulting firm during the 2020 cycle, triggering a federal complaint over potential misuse of campaign funds.

The FEC declined to act.

Then came the disclosure that had listed millions in assets tied to her and Mynett – revised down to at most $125,000.

Now the hotel receipts.

Here's what the Squad has figured out: preach socialism to people who can't afford vacations, then bill the Ritz-Carlton to the campaign account and call it "travel."

It works because nobody in the media that talks to their voters ever asks the question.

Omar's office didn't respond to Fox News for comment.

The FEC filings did.
