Gas Station Manager Refuses Service To Border Patrol Commander – Then Admits On Camera He Doesn’t Care If It’s Illegal

Feb 5, 2026

Remember when Democrats screamed that businesses refusing service to customers was discrimination?

Apparently that principle died the moment federal agents started enforcing immigration law.

Now a Speedway manager just admitted on camera exactly where he stands on obeying the law.

Speedway Manager Caught On Video Refusing ICE Commander Service

Conservative activist Cam Higby captured the whole thing on video at a Minnesota Speedway station.

Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino walked in to make a purchase.

The manager followed him outside and refused him service.

When Higby asked why, the manager said he doesn't support ICE and nobody at the store does.

Then came the kicker.

Did the manager think refusing service to federal agents was legal?

His response – "If it is [illegal] I personally don't care."

On camera.

Admitting he doesn't care if he's breaking the law to obstruct immigration enforcement.

Trump DHS Officials Call Out Coordinated Campaign Against Federal Agents

This isn't some isolated incident by one woke manager.

Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin confirmed agitators have stalked agents at several different gas stations.

McLaughlin said sanctuary politicians are "playing Russian roulette with American lives" by working to thwart ICE operations in cities like Philadelphia, Boston, Newark, and across California.

She made clear DHS will continue removing criminal illegal aliens regardless of local obstruction.

A Hampton Inn in Lakeville repeatedly refused ICE agents service – canceling reservations and telling them to pass on that they weren't welcome.

Secretary Kristi Noem was denied entry to a building in a Chicago suburb to use the restroom.

Hilton eventually pulled the Hampton Inn's franchise and sent a crane to remove the sign.

But Speedway and parent company 7-Eleven have stayed completely silent.

Fox News reached out for comment.

An employee said they'd forward the message.

No response.

Hampton Inn ICE Refusal Shows What Happens When Businesses Obstruct

Heritage Foundation legal fellow Zack Smith told Fox News this mirrors what happened after George Floyd's death in Minneapolis.

Back then, emotions ran high and some businesses refused service to law enforcement.

Those businesses paid a devastating price.

Eight businesses near 38th and Chicago sued the city for $49 million after police abandoned the area and let activists and gangs take over.

Restaurant owner Sam Willis helped a shooting victim, then got confronted by two gunmen looking for the man.

Willie Frazier's boutique got burglarized, windows shot out repeatedly.

One business owner called 911 after gunshots and was told police wouldn't respond because it was a "no-go zone" – gather the bullet casings yourself and bring them in.

The Bloods gang provided security in the neighborhood after police stepped back.

Mama Safia's Kitchen – a Somali immigrant's retirement dream – burned down completely during the 2020 riots.

Legal Experts Explain Businesses Denying Service To Federal Law Enforcement

Private businesses generally can refuse service – with exceptions for protected classes like race or religion.

Federal law enforcement status isn't a protected class.

So technically, the Speedway manager probably won't face legal consequences for his contempt.

But Smith explained that businesses having the legal right doesn't make refusing service to agents the right thing morally.

He called the conduct shameful toward men and women enforcing federal law day in and day out.

The best recourse isn't legal action – it's consumer power.

Smith pointed to why Hilton acted fast on the Hampton Inn situation – they understood consumers wouldn't tolerate businesses refusing service to federal agents.

After the Speedway video went viral, conservatives flooded social media promising to boycott the chain entirely.

The marketplace speaks.

Speedway's silence suggests they haven't figured that out yet.

Sanctuary Cities Democrats Push Double Standard On Service Refusal

Here's what makes this especially rich.

Democrats spent years arguing that Christian bakers must bake cakes for weddings that violate their religious beliefs.

They said businesses have no right to refuse service based on personal disagreement.

Jack Phillips got dragged through courts for a decade because he wouldn't violate his faith.

But ICE agents enforcing federal law?

Suddenly refusal is a moral imperative.

The Speedway manager wore his contempt like a badge – declaring he doesn't support ICE and doesn't care if refusing service is illegal.

That's the game Democrats play.

Conservatives must follow every law or face destruction.

Liberals can openly admit they're breaking laws to obstruct federal operations and expect applause.

Trump administration policies have made one thing crystal clear: agents will enforce immigration law whether sanctuary cities cooperate or obstruct.

Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis has arrested thousands despite Democrat mayors creating hostile environments.

DHS announced ICE issued over 6,000 detainers in sanctuary New York City since Trump took office – a more than 400 percent increase from the entire Biden administration.

Enforcement will continue.

The only question is whether businesses like Speedway want to be associated with law-breaking managers who openly admit they don't care about legality, or with supporting the men and women keeping Americans safe from criminal illegal aliens.

Every dollar you spend at Speedway funds a company that stays silent while managers obstruct federal law enforcement.

Choose accordingly.
