Fox Nation just made one jaw-dropping decision that will have sports fans going wild

Jul 13, 2025

The streaming wars are getting more intense by the day.

Fox Nation needed to make a major move to stay competitive.

And Fox Nation just made one jaw-dropping decision that will have sports fans going wild.

Fox Nation enters the live sports arena with massive PBR partnership

Fox Nation has been building momentum as the streaming service for conservative viewers who want content that doesn’t bash their values.

The platform has carved out a loyal following with documentaries, investigative series, and programming from Fox News personalities.

But now Fox Nation is making a major leap into uncharted territory.

Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson announced that the streaming service signed its first-ever deal in the live sports arena.¹

The platform struck a partnership to become the exclusive Friday night broadcast partner for the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series.

The new "PBR Friday Night Live" series kicks off on Friday, August 8th in Sunrise, Florida and runs weekly through the fall with 10 Friday Night Teams broadcasts nationwide.¹

The season will culminate with the league’s championship opener on October 24 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.⁴

This isn’t just any random sports deal.

Bull riding represents everything that Fox Nation’s audience loves about America.

It’s about grit, determination, and the cowboy spirit that built this country.

"Last Cowboy Standing" returns to build excitement

Fox Nation isn’t just jumping into live sports cold.

The streaming service will debut season two of the hit series "Last Cowboy Standing" starting Friday, July 11 to generate buzz for the live events.⁵

The competition showcases 10 brand-new weekly episodes where eight amateur bull riders battle through rides and unique challenges.⁶

These cowboys are fighting for a fast pass to the individual bull riding competition, Unleash the Beast, plus the chance to join a PBR team.⁷

Viewers get behind-the-scenes access as riders face elimination until there’s one final winner standing.⁸

It’s exactly the kind of authentic American storytelling that Fox Nation’s audience craves.

These aren’t pampered athletes whining about their feelings.

These are real cowboys putting their lives on the line every time they climb on a bull.

Perfect partnership for Fox Nation’s audience

Petterson couldn’t have been more excited about the partnership.

"We could not ask for a better partner to kick off our first foray into live sports," she said. "PBR is an incredibly unique sport with an unrivaled, passionate fan base, and it’s a great addition to the entire FOX Nation viewer experience."⁹

PBR CEO and Commissioner Sean Gleason was equally enthusiastic about the deal.

"We’re thrilled to build on our strong partnership with FOX Nation to deliver live coverage of Friday Night Teams and the second season of Last Cowboy Standing," Gleason said.¹⁰

He pointed to the success of Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo in May as proof that Fox Nation’s audience is hungry for Western sports content.

"Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo was a breakout hit in May for FOX Nation, proving that their devoted audience is eager for exciting Western sports content," Gleason explained. "The FOX platform is a perfect stage to showcase our athletes’ stories of grit, courage, and determination."¹¹

The modernized team-based rodeo featuring a full Kid Rock concert took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and was exclusively streamed on Fox Nation on May 16.¹²

What this means for the future

This partnership represents a major shift in Fox Nation’s strategy.

The platform is no longer content to just offer documentaries and talk shows.

They’re going after live sports programming that connects with their core audience.

PBR is the perfect fit because it celebrates the values that Fox Nation viewers hold dear.

Bull riding is about individual courage, personal responsibility, and the American spirit.

It’s the opposite of the woke sports leagues that lecture fans about social justice.

PBR attracted 1.43 million fans to its events in 2024, and its broadcasts reach more than 288 million households across 67 countries and territories.¹³

The PBR Camping World Team Series features the world’s top bull riders competing on teams in five-on-five bull riding games during a 13-event season.¹⁴

Teams include the Austin Gamblers, Arizona Ridge Riders, Carolina Cowboys, Florida Freedom, Kansas City Outlaws, Nashville Stampede, Oklahoma Wildcatters, Missouri Thunder, New York Mavericks, and Texas Rattlers.¹⁵

Each team hosts a three-day homestand with neutral-site games in Anaheim, California and Duluth, Georgia.¹⁶

The team format builds on the existing structure of professional bull riding with the same basic rules for judging and scoring qualified 8-second bull rides.¹⁷

Events are staged in head-to-head matchups in a tournament-style format where the team with the highest aggregate score of qualified rides among its riders wins.¹⁸

While ESPN and other networks push left-wing politics, Fox Nation is doubling down on authentic American values.

This PBR partnership could be just the beginning of Fox Nation’s expansion into live sports.

If it’s successful, don’t be surprised to see them go after other sports that celebrate traditional American values.

The streaming wars just got a lot more interesting.
